Ortakent is a popular holiday town located on the middle south coast of the Bodrum peninsula, just after Bitez. The resort is also situated on the intersection point of the road leading to all other resorts on the Bodrum peninsula. Ortakent is famous for its warm waters, sandy beach and mandarin gardens. In the past there were two villages in the are called Yahsi and Ortakent. After 1999, they were merged and called as Ortakent town.
