  • Hey everyone - in most of my videos I am speaking Punjabi and going to Punjabi events or places. But in this video I wanted to do something a little different.
I get asked by a lot of non Sikh people, what happens inside a Gurdwara? So I decided I would create a video to share my experiences and to encourage others to go and visit themselves!
For my non-Sikh friends - please let me know if you find my video helpful?
And for my Sikh friends - please let me know if I missed anything? And share the video with your non-Sikh friends! Kyon nahin??
I hope you enjoy this video, and if you do, please like, comment, subscribe, and tell your friends!
And follow me on tiktok @friendlyneighborhoodgora
    And Instagram @friendly_neighborhood_gora
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
    Fer milde haan! Dhyaan rakho!!!

Not sure if I said that correct haha. I'm working on my Grammer and also when go use tusi, tuhanu, tuhada, tuhade . This part I am having trouble with understanding but hopefully in time I figure that out

Hi Veer Ji, why does Non-veg not served in Sikh Gurdwara Sahib Ji?

I can think of many reasons: a) cost. b) easier to store for longer. c) the garbage outside would attract a lot less dangerous wildlife. But I’ve heard it’s also to try and “accommodate everyone” since Muslims don’t eat pork, Hindus don’t eat beef…just keep it veg. But. That kind of doesn’t address modern allergies I will say. I have a kid who literally can NOT EAT 98% of what is served in langar because he’s so allergic to most desi foods. He can have subjee (vegetables) IF they are not cooked in ghee. But he can’t have milk products, wheat (atta), parshaad, rice, no legumes (daal, Channa), no potato. Basically when I go for langar I have to see if there is any fruit salad for him. 🤷‍♀️😓😓😓 when I go “out” to most places in town, restaurants etc, he must eat meat and plain vegetables (such as carrot zucchini). And if I’m home
I can make vegetarian food more
Easily but I use very little known things like millet (ragi of bajri), quinoa, wild rice. It’s a huge challenge!!!
