Right at 17.20, Rajiv Ji mention of Indian researchers seeking western blessing for their research on Ayuerveda. That was moment I expereinced in a Ayurveda workshop hosted by Indian consulate in 2017.
Constitution is not our narrative. It describes the rules we live by and rooted in our values. But that's not a narrative we want others to know us by. Our grand narrative is simple - self-realization is the highest goal and we're the spiritual teachers for rest of the world!
I must agree with other comments that it's a sad reflection of the IAS trainee officers as a lot of them look bored! They show total sepoy mentality - the Brits ot the EIC would have been proud of them - they've left a legacy of training Indians civil service that is totally self loathing of its great civilidation:((

The only ancient civilization that has withstood & survived genocide & relentless attacks from the abrahamics is Sanatana Dharma, while all other civilizations have been wiped out & relegated to museums. But because of our present day constitution that was codified from christianity and the so called, secularism, which is, again, a christian concept, pushed down our throat for the past 100 years or so, we are at a very dangerous time of forgetting our own selves (who we are/were, our origins, our Samskriti) and becoming westernized, while the west appropriates, plunders & digests all our Shrutis & Smritis or whatever there is left of it. We have HUGE challenges ahead of us.
Very thoughtful. Here is a purvapaksha to your siddhant. Respectfully Sir, at about 29:00 when you are speaking about sanskrit - why would I think you are not advocating a digestion of Sanskrit into English? I propose that the Indian education system be firmly Sanskrit based. Nothing prevents people from gaining mastery over 2 or 3 languages, so English can optionally be one of them. Historically producers of knowledge have never depended on being global, they are firmly indigenous.
You didnt get the trick that Rajiv ji is playing. If we can start inserting Sanskrit "Non Translatables" into English they cannot digest it. Since you don't have proper synonyms of many Sanskrit words in the english language, they cannot be digested. The bigger problem is that english speaking people and also Indians are wrongly using many english words while speaking as a direct translation of the Sanskrit words. The best example would be the word Soul or Spirit . Soul or Spirit is not the same as Atma. Soul is only present in human beings but not in the plants and animals and other living beings. The word basically comes from the Bible and Bible only talks about or fouces on human beings... It doesn't have anything to say about nature or animals. So like this many words are used unknowingly by people with out the proper etymological origins of the words. So we can use the legtimate Sanskrit words instead of the loosely or flasly translated english words while speaking, they can never be digested as the authenticity is always maintained. People need to know that there are many Sanskrit words that do not have exact translations or synonyms for the sanskit words in the english.
Takeback Allpak ~ You completely missed the point. Rajiv's bigger game plan is to bring Samskrit words in to english vocabulary and thereby gradually get the english-loving coconuts (Bharatiyas) to familiarize with Samskrit over the next couple of generations and then slowly lead them to learn Samskrit as a Bhasha later on than just words. In fact, Rajiv explains the benefit of it all in this terrific video below, titled "Samskritization of english". Also please read his masterpiece " Being Different ". English already has words from Hindi like loot and the Britishers use oi and probably words from Sanskrit too... Edit words like karma and guru are already organically adopted...
Agreed. The british also condemned & maligned very many words from our Samskriti. For instance: the word "thug". Thug used to be (it still is) one of the " Jaati " we have had, but the english turned that in to a horrible term meant for murderers/killers. What is sad is that words like Guru, Mantra, Pundit have not only been appropriated but when they use them, they imply rather corrupted & pejorative meaning to such sacred words.
It was nice to see Rajiv Malhotra addressing the civil service trainees at the LBSNAA to upset their settled mindsets within the colonized framework. The audience did seem to have quite a few of them fidgeting visibly when the talk began but those uncomfortable with the concept of India as a civilizational state seemed to be quite confused by the time the talk concluded, because they seemed unable to grasp the depth of the entire talk and the Q and A session which took them riveted over a vast canvas of the future, which they had never imagined. Godse a Desh Bhakt or not , it is a trivial thing to waste time and energy, the Yagna RM is doing is at a much higher level. It is convenient for a politician to debate about Godse than to talk about development or economy or how to take country into future.

Sir's comment about IPR is apt. We still have genetically built altruism in us which also is our dharm, i.e. to share the abundance. Having said that, we should remember that dharm teaches us to react according to the action. So, if they are taking away knowledge and re-marketing as their own and we don't have any objection to it, then we have failed in our duty as a civilization to keep all the knowledge preserved & alive.
we have to reject foreign ideas after debating with indian ideas and our ideas should be presented in modern context. like rajiv malhotra's idea of " mutual respect" is very much embedded in adi shankara 's idea of ishta/ nista we can discuss both ideas like wise whole hinduism can be discussed in modern application one more example is " namaste " in our old days-- Vedic days it means you are divine but it can be translated as " I respect you and I expect from you respect me too" i found whoe hindu rituals and traditions can be used for modern times to harness the balance and harmony the very idea of Aham brahmasmi or shivoham indicates human rights I am not " dalit/ slave / or so " political education is must and we should adopt vedic culture like education and jobs guarantee ( purushartha) over all we need to distinguish vedic system was designed for moksha ( freedom ) and so called western ideas are designed for exploitation ---- that is the reason conversion and colonization now rights are more discussed than the duties western ideas especially islamic and communist ideas should be securitized they are very dubious and their methodology of fear and violence is very dangerous they should be exposed thoroughly

I don't agree with you that Sanskrit cannot become the de-facto standard communication even if English is some world standard. It can be learnt as a language, but is extremely and highly essential for us to study and communicate in Sanskrit sir. You know this better than I do. Sanskrit is such a strong soft-power in terms of a knowledge system. It is also foolish that we don't believe we must invest in it especially in the age of AI. It is impractical we don't start now.
Good observation Santoshji. We can come up with CHATUR BASHA neeti In India for all. i)Mother Tounge------The Most essential ii)Sanskrit-----To know our Sanskriti iii)Hindi------Link language among all Indians iv)English-----To conduct trade and Commerce with English speaking Countries When we have put so much effort and time to read, write and speak in Mother Tounge,English and Hindi we can definitely do the same with Sanskrit.
@@bharathvyas997 Thank you for your kind words Bharat ji. However, I don't believe Hindi can be a good link language since it has a huge cultural disconnect with many parts of the country, especially Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka, etc. Hindi is a very regional language similar to Tamil, Telugu or Kannada. Sanskrit has always been a fantastic link language since it can be written in all scripts and be understood by all speakers. We must invest in it. 1. We must study in our mother tongue and learn Sanskrit. 2. The govt must also provide options to study in Sanskrit medium from lower to higher edu. 3. Many foreign languages must be made available as an option for students to study if interested. Sanskrit is required not only to know our Sanskriti, but also to communicate flawlessly within our country. It will also help us innovate at a pace never seen before.

Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.43 : This Bhagavatam Purana is as brilliant as the Sun , and it has arisen just after the departure of lord Krishna to his own abode , accompanied by Religion and Knowledge . Persons who have lost their vision due to the dense darkness of ignorance in the age of Kali shall get Light from this Purana.......... The Vedas will not be able to remove the Darkness of Kali Yuga . This is why Veda Vyasa after compiling the Vedas saw that it was not sufficient to counteract the ignorance of Kali Yuga. Therefore he produce the Srimad Bhagavatam which is the potent Source of knowledge in Kali Yuga or As brilliant as the Sun. If the Indian Grand Narrative , Science and Technology stands firmly on the Foundation of this Purana the whole world will come to India to assimilate this knowledge.

Hope that these IAS who went through left driven education system able to understand or at least make sense of this very important lecture delivered by Malhotra sir

Rajiv sir pls share your views on "Was Godse a Desh Bhakt?"
SIMPLE,No he wasn't,he thought he was,he wasn't a terrorist either,but he was a murderer
Not necessary for him to comment
Sachin doesn't need to chess
Vishwanathan Anand doesn't need to play football
Rajiv ji said Gandhi was 1st original modern thinker in India, he holds gandhian thought in high regard.
Godse a Desh Bhakt or not , it is a trivial thing to waste time and energy, the Yagna RM is doing is at a much higher level.
It is convenient for a politician to debate about Godse than to talk about development or economy or how to take country into future.
right now it should not be discussed leave to individual . public figures should not be asked this type of questions if udam singh is desh bhagat then godse is desh bhagat all our yogis gurus goraksaks are desh bhagats it is civilizational war Indian out look to life is to live blissfully western out look is for profit ( selfish) which is very dangerous this brings down humanity to animal level living in boundaries
This called thiruvalluver 2000 years before.. You grow up when fell down effect of cost damaged more.. When small the 💪powerful...
Add following to the title of this video: "at IAS academy LBSNAA Mussorie". Hits to the video will increase.
we have to reject foreign ideas after debating with indian ideas and our ideas should be presented in modern context. like rajiv malhotra's idea of " mutual respect" is very much embedded in adi shankara 's idea of ishta/ nista we can discuss both ideas like wise whole hinduism can be discussed in modern application one more example is " namaste " in our old days-- Vedic days it means you are divine but it can be translated as " I respect you and I expect from you respect me too" i found whoe hindu rituals and traditions can be used for modern times to harness the balance and harmony the very idea of Aham brahmasmi or shivoham indicates human rights I am not " dalit/ slave / or so " political education is must and we should adopt vedic culture like education and jobs guarantee ( purushartha) over all we need to distinguish vedic system was designed for moksha ( freedom ) and so called western ideas are designed for exploitation ---- that is the reason conversion and colonization now rights are more discussed than the duties western ideas especially islamic and communist ideas should be securitized they are very dubious and their methodology of fear and violence is very dangerous they should be exposed thoroughly
Hindu RASHTRA is requirement of the time

I don't agree with you that Sanskrit cannot become the de-facto standard communication even if English is some world standard. It can be learnt as a language, but is extremely and highly essential for us to study and communicate in Sanskrit sir. You know this better than I do. Sanskrit is such a strong soft-power in terms of a knowledge system. It is also foolish that we don't believe we must invest in it especially in the age of AI. It is impractical we don't start now.
Good observation Santoshji. We can come up with CHATUR BASHA neeti In India for all.
i)Mother Tounge------The Most essential
ii)Sanskrit-----To know our Sanskriti
iii)Hindi------Link language among all Indians
iv)English-----To conduct trade and Commerce with English speaking Countries
When we have put so much effort and time to read, write and speak in Mother Tounge,English and Hindi we can definitely do the same with Sanskrit.
Thankyou
The Smritis are based on time and place and is differently applicable to the various people based on the varnas/divisions/community....it is applied and practiced based on time and place and those portions that is not applicable today is subject to evolution and they can be evolved..
Kindly make a video on Halal Vegetarian Food ie Economic jihad
Chopraji's Comment on Intellectual property be free for all is a Indian Civilisational value. But,its very rarely going to be accepted by the west and US.Their billions of dollars Economy is based on Indian knowledge systems. Some times We are buying back our own knowledge in the form of product by paying some times 100 times the actual cost.In such a scenario lets patent ourselves and increase our GDP!
Wow
People who have spent 25 years studying in the present state; cannot be expected to leave all those in one hour. The change should start from home and then from the first history lesson.
Sir kindly elaborate about your research on Inter Life Money Trust that you were discussing with specific to Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.. trust me it will engage more people 😂😂😂
Yoga is not Hindu is one thing which the west has taken up. It is in the stage that "Yoga is not Indian but global" And the fellow Indians know Yoga not from what is taught in India but they know from what is taught in America
6.55 the first person in 2nd row was uninterested throughout the session
No intellectuals talk about different land has different climate and plants animals and people living there are all different and we should learn to accept and respect all .
Rajiv ji is way ahead of his time😁😆
Hope these young bureaucrats will go all out against those NGOs which made inroads deeply into society by various means... and developed potential to create social unrest at any given moment for Anti social Anti National nexus.
Eg. Sterlite plant closer
49.00😁😆🙅
Wow the director himself has no idea on how to pronounce it right...Dharma nish…..??? Yatha Raja Tatha Praja
Very good Observation Rohan. Currently the UPSC Civil service Aspirants have to pass in two language papers from among the 22 languages listed in the 8th schedule of the Constitution in the Main exams. Now Govt of India Should introduce Sanskrit which should be compulsarily passed by all aspirants as a third language. It has many advantages
i)They can refer to our huge Knowledge of Shastras by themselves without being dependent on English translations which many times change the meanings and messages.
ii)It will create brand of Officers who are BHARATIYA in outlook, persona,Mind and Heart.
How disappointing if this is the future calibre of our IAS. Such a limited lot. And the mediator on stage such a clueless uneducated man. Rajivji so much respect to you for your efforts in trying to encourage these fools to use their brains. They aren't even listening to your responses..but asking the same text book idiot questions again and again..
Mediator is ias academy director
here 1:00:28 Rajiv ji is contradicting his views wherein he disapproves of certain Hindus who doesn't give credit to Hindu knowledge and say its universal knowledge and has nothing very specifically to do with Hinduism but in here he said Manusmriti is not a Hindu text but a social text.
Its not Infalliable unlike the Vedas and Upanishads
,👍👍👍
India can't afford to have the version of the diversity of JNU,,,,... digestion of Karnatik music by inserting Jesus instead of Lord Krishna
Intellectual property ...
even tumeric been patent by western company which grow wildly in india...
the thing about Sanskrit words in English !! why don't we add it in our sabdkosh only. we are 1.3 billion people we don't need sanctions from the west to what words belong to the English language. it will be Indian English like they have British English,American English, etc
What a plonker of a question at @49:30 !! The moderator needs to rein himself in and not ask silly questions.
ok
The director of the academy is a big fool.
Most Punjabi's r patriotic unless they join khangress or is from, Jnu, (rajiv dhawan, sibal, Grover, indira jaisingh,)

A pushpak Vimana was discovered in Afghanistan n seized by America so proof
Great talk. It is very unfortunate to see how Indians have been brainwashed over the past few centuries. This talk reminds of this very important clip from Chanakya that talks about dangers of losing cultural identity. th-cam.com/video/rVEZgfu8Vh0/w-d-xo.html
I stopped watching after two minutes. I am a fan of Rajiv and this transition to Hindi during his lectures is putting me off. By all means, lecture in Hindi completely. Or in English completely. Please Rajiv, don’t assume that we all can follow Hindi. If you want to reach to the wider audiences across the world, English will be the medium.
So few words in hindi irritates u ??
English for wider reach ?? Really? More people understand hindi in India.
Ram Parmar even Rajiv said that his Hindi videos have poor audience numbers , there you go, all from horse’s mouth! Hindi s not an universal language! Imagine sri Gurumurthy or Prof R V switching to Tamil in an English presentation!
Rajiv can do it in Hindi or in English, not in Hinglish!

Hindi is a regional language of cowbelt India Tamil ,Kannada Telugu, Malayalam etc have the same right and aspiration to be the number one language in their respective states as hindi has in cowbelt states Hindi chauvinists of cowbelt india either knowingly or unknowingly play the trick of trying to make hindi dominant in the areas where it is not supposed to
Each province and linguistic area of India is as Indian and as bharathiya by itself as cowbelt India There are at least 23 bharaths in Indian sub continent
Disappointing. He had an excellent opportunity to influence the future bureaucrats but he hardly spoke about the topic for which he had come. Just some inane things he spoke which he has been speaking at other forums. Should have done homework. He is a great man but Rajeev Ji you disappointed in this talk.
Come on maan, Rajiv did a swashbuckling job educating these Indians about the civilization diversity and greatness of Bharat , its importance in preserving it.
more disappointing were the questions asked by the batch.
Well said. The talk should have included some more challenges to new age bureaucracy.
Shallow man commenting on the depth of a learned man.
