People think BHAM is this horrible place due to all the bad stats and rankings but its got awesome spots
yea and alabama is ranked as one of the worst states because of education and agriculture i believe, but its actually a great place and its just like living in a rural area in any other state except there are a lot of woods, which makes it even better

Most of the first part of this video is in Crestwood , not Mountain Brook ( the high street w the black rails etc) the hint is in the street signs - Mountain Brook we have ZERO green street signs all the street signs are a beautiful black and brown hanging old fashioned type (see this type of street sign the circle at approx 4:02 to the left of screen is an example of street signs all throughout the city .

When I heard “turn rt on Dexter Ave ..” I knew you’re in Crestline part of MB. We have 3 distinct villages , Crestline, Mountain Brook Village & English Village .MB has the highest income of any place in AL & the best school system , w many graduates going to Ivy League Universities. Rare in AL.
I love our city and it’s more like a “ village “ , in the older parts (Mtn Brook parkway) you’ll see we are a “ tree city “ w many parks etc ( this is also why we are hit hard during electrical storms - so many trees can knock lines down etc )
Also, part of this video was taken on Lakeshore Drive & Green Springs Highway, both in Homewood.

This is interesting bc up north in neighborhoods where the medium income is in that range the houses are much bigger and “fancier”.

@@inkpearls3364 I dunno, looks like a lot of mansions in Mountain Brook to me! In general, there's plenty of mansion neighborhoods in the south, but they're more likely to be either in smaller rich enclaves of some cities and/or their inner subburbs, or in big lot exurban developments further out, compared to the north. Big lot sizes vs. big houses also tend to be more valued in much of the south. Atlanta and bigger southern Metro's often have plenty of of mansions across large parts of the suburbs, however.
It would be great if you could do a voiceover explaining what we are seeing and also talk about why the income is so high etc.

Why did you put that face throwing up next to a $164,000 medium income? I’m happy my Son got to the point he makes over $400,000. He served our Country as a USMC veteran and worked his way up to graduate from NYU University. He deserves every penny he makes.
I am glad he does that. This is the richest place in Alabama, and $164,000 for a family is over 2x the national average its ALOT of money. That emoji means LOTS OF MONEY. 164k for a family IS alot of money.
