"Thunderbirds" 2004 FAB 1 diecast (1/18th scale by Sun Star)

- This is the FAB 1 diecast made by Sun Star for the live-action "Thunderbirds" (2004 movie). Extremely accurate, but the flight-transformation can easily break your diecast. I suggest trying it once, and then never transforming it ever again. In this video, the rear wings/trunk breaks so I have to take the diecast apart in order to repair it. Not fun at all.

Its a lovely model of a car that is rather notorious. I can imagine Lady Penelope saying 'Parker,where is the Rolls Royce?'

lol! I was being extremely careful with this model. I didn't get a good deal on it so I was very careful not to smash it up lol

love the vid ! i modified my fab1. wheels more outward almost flush with the body and back doors sit now flush painted the chassis . looks reborn now haha. the wings broke off after short period so i removed them also the after burner is now gone

You're right buddy, about this being a delicate piece. Just got mine and find the levers to pop up the turbine are very tight. The whole engine popped out on me! Easy to pop back in though. Will be displaying mine with the roof back and doors open only!
good call on the display. Definitely best to pick one look, and never change it again lol If I had the money, I'd get a 2nd version which I'd leave all the doors/roof open
The original Lady Penelope definitely reinforced my love of, and fascination with, cars with that rig.
I think it's fitting for Ford to have done the reboot. A modified "Thunderbird" makes perfect sense.
yeah Ford Thunderbird is perfect :) I wish they made a movie-themed car for sale to the public. I someday want to see the full-size version of this car

hello :) It's always hard pricing these things. I bought mine for around $120 (I don't remember)? I only see two people right now selling it on Ebay (for around $300). Honestly, it costs as much as anyone's willing to pay for it. I think it's a great diecast model
