I'm so glad that only the drive shaft and the yoke is the only thing that broke last drive shaft failure I had snapped the tail shaft off of my brinn and when it come loose went under the back tires and cut both of them but my yoke didnt fail apparently at some point I hit the drive shaft itself and started a crack in it somewhere and she went boom in high gear on the longest straight and I may have messed up a fire suit cause it sounded like the whole car blew up and do you guy use anything like mud off or wd40 under the wheel wells it keeps the mud from sticking I use cooking spray from the dollor general and it saves me alot of clean up time so anyway congratulations to all of yall on a killer run and a huge win
Driveshaft was definitely a litl short, but it hung in there jus long enough, we always drilled thru the tail housing and bushing and put a grease fitting so we could make sure the bushing was well lubricated

My race drivers all seem happy and thats ok with me! Jimmy Owens junior looking at that trophy ,i wonder what he was thinking of it. Hes a sweet kid , never been a better shop supervisor and assistant crew chief.
The short driveshaft was that the big vibration but I just think there is some something wrong with the super. Not sure if its harmonic like flywheel broke, or something getting in a bind in the suspension or...? But what do I know. Congrats on the win!

So Jesse is gonna race again. Good. He needs it. But..... do you think we should use bungee cords attached to his elbows to keep his hands and arms still? Hmmmm..... BTW, the new steering ratio dampener I suggested didn't seem to work last time. Go fast, turn a little left just enough to setup the right rear end steer, and straighten out coming onto the straightaway. No back and forth jingling on the straightaway! Smooth hands!

That Dirt Car Lift is a very useful tool, I do have a question about it though. Does it have a safety locking mechanism when it is up and a body goes under the car? If not, get those old jack stands out and stay alive, please..... There can be failure in those lift arms.

If the vibration is in the seat it usually is in the rear to include the driveshaft. If its in the front its felt most notably in the steering column.

From what I seen in the last race from Southern Raceway there was one or two other cars that I would say you need too be concerned about.

Driveshaft might be too long, when the rear end indexes forward the yoke can cause what your seeing. Thats why the ball spline trans was invented.
