I have it and I personally like it, however, the Astron Rex feels way more comfortable being medium tank one tier lower. This is a bit like the GSOR TD from the British nation with bigger alpha.

I have two experimental modules installed on this tank. For mobility and to improve the gun, the use of these two things makes the tank quite nice to play :)
If you're going to use this tank use bond/bounty rotation and experimental turbo. Finally- use optics. An extra medium tank with an autoloader and sometimes decent armor never hurts. I like mine pretty well and get good enough results in it for a premium that earns bonds.
I recall this tank as always getting a damaged engine, ammo rack or fuel tank almost every time I took a hit. You will always take a hit when aiming. You will make a mistake in using all equipment to help with the slow aim and bad rng because you will need something to protect the modules. A bad tank unless you use all gold and end up burning the credits.
I have this tank and even though it has a trash DPM and trollish gun handling, I still come back to that tank from time to time because it makes me want to get better with that tank. The damage output with the long reload time is truly disgusting in my opinion.
I was really excited for this auction since i’m sitting on 300 millions credits So far it’s really a disappointment, hope to get at least the quinlin for credits tomorrow
I got it for 175k free exp, both this one and the double barrel. I think it was a sweet deal for me as I converted around 1mil free exp the last time we had 1g=40fexp. So it comes to around 5k gold each for a t8 and a t9 premium
I also have it and enjoy it quite a bit, it works great, gold ammo is very good (pen and velocity), tank has some armor and can bounce some shots especially at distance and when using the gun depression which is also great. The tank does feel slow though, fixed a bit with experimental equipment. Very enjoyable tank overall but not the best.
7 battles into the TL-7, I actually like it. Not the best tank, but far from a bad tank by War Gaming standards LOL. Still trying to find where it is best for my play. First few battles I played as traditional td sniper and it wasnt bad. Then I played several battles closer to the mediums as a support tank. It seemed to be pretty good there as well. So for me I will most likely play a combo of that. Doesnt seem like a tank that playing aggressive in will pay off enough.
I am actually enjoying this tank. With the right modules, and a good position, fun to use. Yes, it's slow, and gun either loves you or not. Armor is not the best. But, can have some good battles.
I love this tank. I get a lot of turret bounces in mine. For a money and bond maker its great. If you are looking for something to hard carry in this is not the tank.
I would have been interested in this except I got the tiger maus and 752 at xmas so I feel fine for t9 premiums. It seems like you can make this work, specially if you really pimp it out, but I have 10+ other tanks I'd put the best equipment on before this.
I have this and it is GLORIOUS!! You are playing it the wrong way. You are brawling with it and it is a camping TD. You find some nice cover and smack them in the face. This TD has better armor then the Nomad and a host of other TD's. Play it right and it will treat you right!

If I remember that correctly it is the trash ground resistance make the whole mobility sluggish, a good example of amazing stats on paper and literally trash in action😂
0.96/1.06/1.85 with no crew or mods 0.76/0.81/1.25 upgraded with standard equipment with 17.8 hp/ton and 54 kph top speed those are stats of pretty decent mobility medium tank

@@khardian2823 the point is they have to AIM to do that unlike the GSOR that is just autopen everywhere and while they are aiming they have to stay still ... armor is NOT just "immune to damage" or "autopen" there is also the midground where if people aim tehy will pen, but if they dont you have decent chance to bounce here and there ... ill take the middle instead of non existent on mobile machine any day.
Not a very good tank, sure you can do impressive clip damage but these days, by the time you've reloaded to clip no.2, the turbo battle is over, you've either been destroyed having been swarmed by reds that have rushed you or your chasing with your team the last few remaining reds left on the map and missing out because your ammo hasn't finished reloading yet. Just not worth it.
Got the WZ-111 Qilin when it was originally on the Black Market years ago. The Black Market has gone downhill ever since then. Literally the best tank I have gotten from it, other than the Type 59G. Everything else has been meh to the point I wont even bother dropping gold bids now since that adds an actual monetary cost to what amounts to literal trash tanks.

Atrocious DPM for a tier 9 TD at ~1,700. Several tier 7 TDs have better DPM than this one. Does the TL-7 have the lowest DPM of all tier 9 TDs in the game? The only thing it has going for it, is mobility and situational burst damage from being an autoloader.
that "situational burst" is enough to clip T8 heavy from full HP before it can reload a second shot ... are people seriously still underestimating autoloaders after all these years ? ...
@@Asghaad This is a tier 9 and the MM will put it against tier 9s and 10s in ~2/3rds of games played. The value of your tank can't really be derived from how well it can club lower tier opponents, but how well it can face off against its equals.
@@thoso1973 yes and when you play T8 you will ALSO get put against T9 and T10 2/3rd of the time ... except now you are in T8 with lower pen, less HP and less armor T8s club T6 WAY harder than T9s do T7s the value of being T9 is in the fact you CANT ever meet +2 tiers and only ever get bumped up by one thats why T9 is the most comfortable BR in the game, if you get lucky you dont have to face T10s unlike T10s and if you get unlucky the worst thing that happens is you face T10 which are way closer to your vehicle parameters than if you were in T8 and got bumped into T10 ... lastly you are severely underestimating autoloaders think of it as 1440 alpha gun with 38 second reload ... might not seem "scary" when you are driving around at 2000hp but what happens when you fall below that 1400 health huh ... you wont be keeping all of your health whole battle ... then this thing drives around the corner, takes one hit from you and then deletes you from the battle with zero chance from you to do anything ... or catches you in bad position and just unload those 2.3 second intra clip reload shells ... you cant just look at the DPM and assume its bad ... its the same "bad" DPM on GSOR 1008 ... and that thing is maybe THE best T8 premium TD only slightly less broken thant the turtle ... and that thing has 1500 DPM

One tank I compare this tank to is (surprisingly) T54e1.They both have the same mid range, heavy-support gameplay in my opinion.

I would guess that Skill got fresh appoach to the game + MM + RNG always gives a boost after not playing for a couple of weeks.
Rotation device, aiming device, vents makes this tank *kinda work. Rotation device is most important.
