These kind of cases are abundant in India-rich industrialists young or mostly minor son, high end car, accident, death, eyewitnesses, driver, backtracking of statements etc. This is not the first and will not be the last. But yes as rightly pointed out by you social media has made a huge huge difference in implementation of justice. Compare with an identical case about 10 years back in Mumbai. Beyond some sketchy initial reports in some columns, the news was completely blacked out so that not many remember or are aware what happened. Those were the days when social media was yet to strike roots.
I am sure the police, doctors and the judge were all threatened with consequences.

There should be a body that follows up on such hushed up cases. There should be accountability. Why can't opposition parties follow up and make sure a verdict is given and the guilty are brought to book. Media fades away after the heat dies away. Media is active for a brief moment following the incident. Once they have gained their TRP, they push it under the carpet. Why can't you people persist until there's a verdict given.
