For scanlations, I believe Kinnikuman is caught up to the modern day, but I didn’t painstakingly count them, so I could be wrong. The most egregious missing scanlations are Ring ni Kakero (the first battle Shonen) and Fuuma no Kojirou by the guy from Saint Seiya are not even translated, despite laying the groundwork for modern Shonen.
I remember looking up some random manga titles a few years ago on MAL and ever since that day I've weirdly wanted to see an official English manga release for Medaka Box
I’ve actually had Kyuukyoku Choujin R (roughly translates to R the Ultimate Superman) on my radar for some time so really cool to see it mentioned here! It’s actually been done in Japan for a long time (though it did have a new volume a few years back) and though I think it’s a long shot to ever get an official English release getting the word out is the first step towards that possibly happening 🙂
I decided to collect 20th century boys singles and it was the stupidest idea ever given that it won't get reprinted ever due the release of the perfect editions
@@TheBeesSteeze Trigun Ultimate Overhaul is complete re-translation of the Trigun manga including Trigun, Trigun Maximum and Trigun Multiple Bullets with the goal to make the manga more accessible and say fuck you to the Maximum7 scanlations from 15 to 20 years ago.
There's also bobobo-bo-bobo the manga is not in the shonen jump app from last I have seen, the physical manga is out-of-print, and the sequel manga was never officially translated into English.
The manga Beelzebub was the first to pop into my head while watching. Thank God it has pretty good fan translations online , but how I wish I could collect it!
So sad!! recently i have been buying more japanese manga just to own. they cost so much less than normal too. it makes me want to really learn japanese lol
@@TheBeesSteezeLearning Japanese through manga is a super good way to learn it honestly especially if you have many Japanese manga (: start by using simple apps like Busuu (worked wonders for me) then maybe Duolingo (it's meh imo but it gets the job done decently) but Busuu is incredible. The secret is putting your language learning knowledge into practice, like reading Japanese manga, and constantly surrounding yourself with Japanese the more you learn it, like watching sub and reading Japanese manga more constantly and it'll seriously help you learn faster (:. I understand more Japanese now when I watch subs lol, it's fun. But I have no Japanese manga yet :c. But Busuu is better and cheaper especially yearly than Duolingo. I hope this helps (:
honestly VIZ should at least put those series in digital version even if not completed they would print money but naaaaaaah VIZ saying that they won't publish Gintama in digital form "because author does not want it to be published this way" while Gintama ended it's run in Gintama app... Back in the day author was so happy that it got licenced in North America. Honestly looking at the fact that France and Italy have all 77 volumes translated and it's much less popular there than in USA... We all knew that VIZ is shit publisher but somehow they always find a way to make themselves look worse and worse.

Omg I used to be really into Reborn when I was in middle school and first started to get into anime! I rarely see it get mentioned now 😭😭
For GinTama I definitely would get the manga all in Japanese and I would learn Japanese to consume this shonen and others.
