This challange would be better if you didn't know what pokemon are they going to use. Otherwise you can come prepared and the difficulty is just making good guesses. When fighting real opponents you don't know exact moves, abilities and pokemon they will use. If you wanteedv to make this challenge the same level of a realistic fight, you should've applied the same restriction to yourself.

Wolfe's editors always do an excellent job, but their edits on the Stretch Session were especially excellent. It wonderfully (hilariously) enhanced content that was already top-tier: A++ material.
Gardevoir is a monster in gen 3: elemental punches are still special, good special bulk, high special attack, not great speed but still okay, access to a number of support moves like calm mind, pretty sure it can get recover but I forget, baton pass, a number of other things. The only really bad thing is it's a rare encounter by Petalburg and Ralts only has growl at that point, pretty sure there's other ways of getting one but that's the only one I can recall off hand.
@@axis8396 it doesn’t get recover, and you can only get it on route 102 (Wolfey was INCREDIBLY lucky with that 5% encounter rate). But yeah, very good in gen 3. She gets lots of coverage and utility moves to choose from.

Wolfey, what's your opinion on flinches and crits as a mechanic? Should crits be limited to pokemon with an ability to crit, by using a move with crit chance or using status moves like focus energy? Should flinches be limited to moves like fake out (Where there's a condition for flinching and can't happen by chance)?
@@sinnohperson8813 While rng has always been a part of RPGs, that doesn't mean it can't be adjusted for a better player experience. Speed boost is dope though. The distribution is ass.
So if I understand the A.I. correctly it roles the damage of every move and then if a move kills it sees that and chooses that move and then rerolls for the actual damage. But does it account for crits in that case, like if it roles thunderbolt rock throw against a gyarados can it role crit on rock throw so it picks rock throw even though thunderbolt would normally do more? Edit: Apparently no.
Hey Wolfey, would you consider doing more ROM hack nuzlockes or are you just going for the hardest one there is? I'd personally love to see you play more stuff like Insurgence, Xenoverse or RadicalRed, and it would surely make me happy to watch you play those whackier roms :) regardless, keep up with the great content, you're the best!
i wonder how often wolfey used the wrong pokemon in calcs over all the attempts and how often he lucked his way through thinking that something can't kill but it could.
