Reluctant to talk on camera then get him among the plants and watch him go. It is so beautiful that you were able to capture and share this wonderful man with the world!
Hello, I,m from Thailand . I'm pretty sure that a lot of people have been missing him. It would be an honor to share your video to the Thai Cactus and succulent communities. Our groups are getting bigger and bigger these day. I would love to share this if you don't mind. Thank You so much.
Feel free to share. I would love that; and I think the community there will appreciate that. I am also getting the previous episode translated in Thai, which I think should help, but it's such a complex language-on top of the botanical nomenclature and botany terms, that it will take about two weeks for them to get the subtitles in. But feel free to share. Thank you.
So glad that part of Chanin's collection is going to be displayed at Sirikit BG and shared with the public. It is a lovely homage and, cannot help but imagine, that someone with such a passion, would be proud of that.
What I appreciate about you, Summer, is your genuine desire to esteem others better than yourself. You bring so many of the world’s unknown wise and caring sentinels of our green cohabitants on this planet to the forefront. I truly enjoyed meeting Chanin and watching this very personal side of three individuals fellowshipping over their passion. So inspiring. You and all whose lives were touched by the gift of his presence are in my prayers. 💚
Thanks so much for your sentiments. I share with people that what gets me out of bed every morning is not what I know, but what I don't know, and that's one of the ways how we cultivate an engaging and inspirational life. I'm so pleased this channel can be a platform to share my and others passion; and pleased that We could... In some small way... Document Chanin's passion before he passed from this Earth.
Hello ... I have a Wonderful collection of succulents. I grow many from seed. I have several friends in Chaingmai , Thailand and other provinces . I would love to share your video in our plant groups. I did not want to share without permission from you , Dear Summer . Thank you for All the Wonderful videos . I love this one so much ❤️✌️🥰
I like to believe that when we pass and get to heaven. We're allowed to paint our own canvas. Kind of like the movie What Dreams May Come. Although I don't like the part about suicides. I believe if we are so tortured in life we may get a second chance at it. When you say in a better place I pray we get to enjoy the thing's we're truely passionate about in life. We're surrounded by those we love. May he be among all of the thing's and people that brought him so much joy and happiness. 🙏 🌵🌸🌿
Whenever I travelThailand I usually spend my whole time visiting plant nurseries. Thai people are real artists and this is clearly reflected on their love to plants and creating colors and hybridization.
Your energy is truly infectious that you got him to talk about his passion. He will truly appreciate this from heaven above 🌿🍃 thank you Summer, condolence to his family 🙏🏻
By far my favorite episode. So many plants I haven’t seen before and so many I have added to my wish list. Loved all the Atrophytum. This was such a thoughtful and meaningful video for your late friend and his family.
I really love this video with Home and Dr. Chanin. They're cool to be with when you're scouring plant markets. I'm amazed at Dr. Chanin to identity these plants at a drop of a hat. It's such a shame that the plant world lost him too soon. Also, It's my first time to see so many kinds of euphorbia. The only ones I know are those huges ones that had been a rave years ago. They've become miniatured as i saw in your past videos. The Thais really are amazing when it comes to plants. I love watching videos of their fish market too and it also makes me think they really give importance to both agriculture and aquaculture to produce such amazing plants (and fishes). Thanks for this video. Looking forward for the next one.
Thanks for visiting Chiang Mai. Live here and now have better idea of the amazing plants around. Your videos are very informative and entertaining. Keep Growing!
This was fascinating! So many varieties...just AWESOME and these guys know so much and what I really like is that they enjoy sharing the KNOWLEDGE with such ENTHUSIASM! Thank you HOME and CHANIN! So happy you were able to meet CHANIN before he passed, what a beautiful tribute to his work and memory! Thank you Summer🌵
So interesting. I'm so glad that Chanin Thorut's enthusiasm for the plants made him overcome any shyness about being on camera since the video was really enriched by the details about the plants that he could share. This series has been very special Summer and will be remembered. Again, my heartfelt condolences to Chanin Thorut's family, friends, and colleagues on his passing. One day I hope to visit Thailand and see some of his collection on display as you mentioned at the end of the video.
So sad in our community to lost such a man full of knowledge that can pass down his knowledge to the next generation RIP Sir Thank you Summer for sharing this clip.
May his soul rest in peace. Hope all his hard work and collections goes to someone as passionate as him. Come to think of this, life is so fragile. Summer, thanks for remembering someone like him.
Awesome video. Thank you for the great opportunity to be introduced n see Chanin Thotut and his passion for plants. Loved getting to see such unique plants
and once again, one of the greatest episodes I have seen. the sense of wisdom so many cactus and wonderful colors. I will dream about that for a long time. the video could go on forever. Thank you very much
So far, that is one of my favorite videos that you've made. How extraordinarily knowledgeable that man was, what a great loss. But not going to lie - who else besides me gets excited when they talk about a plant that's already in your collection? 😄😄
i just noticed this was filmed last year. Its mind boggling to take it in, cant wait to join you in the upcoming adventure Summer! too bad your videos end, every week its like i want like an a day-long 💚
I don't know anything about family or propagating stuff but just by hearing you guys exchange infos, I'm also nodding and sort of understanding what it's related to💕 His very passionate on what he does, he will be remembered for his genuine love for plants💕
What a gentle and kind man, and a wealth of information. I didn't realize till the end (missed beginning) and realized with sadness that he had passed. So much information also.
This was so fascinating to see such vibrant and cool looking species and hybrids, and it’s convinced me to visit Thailand at some point! Thank you for also introducing us to Chanin as well, I am excited to look into more of his works. May he Rest In Peace ❤️
That was such a great episode and it feels really weird to watch this man knowing he died a few days later, it is very touching, thanks for sharing Summer!
My condolences to family and friends. Thank everyone involved in bringing such a beautiful collection of plants and sharing. I've been to Chiang Mai twice and didn't know they offered such showings.
So great to see Chanin... he was such a great source of info on plants and cultivation. He got me hooked collecting Dyckia after seeing his hybrids on the dyckiabrazil blog. Many thanks for sharing.
Amazing, totally overwhelmed with all of the plants. This man is totally amazing with the knowledge he has and shared with us. Thank you Summer for sharing a very interesting video.
I collect cactus & succulent some years ago. I understand his passion! 😊 Love his Gimnocalycium mihanovichii shirt! I would love to know him. Beautiful video and tribute 💖
Loved this so much. Incredible plants and wonderful to hear three experts talk with such interest and enthusiasm. He was obviously a pleasure to spend time with. ❤️🌵❤️
At 6:42 there is a brief segment of the rare and expensive Euphorbia Abdelkuri which is a plant that I have been collecting for many years. It doesn't receive much attention in the plant world probably because it is kind of the "Ugly Duckling" of Euphorbias. It is a very slow grower on it's own roots, but many times it is grafted. I prefer it "Alla Natureal" on it's own roots and I have 4 of these, I used to have 6 of them, but the rain got to 2 of them and they withered. I have one that is 11 inches (28cm) tall. One 6" (15cm) with a 6" side shoot and a 3" side shoot from opposite sides of the center stalk and 2 plants that are solo 6" as well. In this segment I see that there is a yellow which I never had seen before. I am really proud of keeping these Euphorbia's alive for so many years.
I appreciated this video and the love of plants shown. Thai growers are amazing and their markets are amazing to visit. I hope more people could do it. Thank you so much, subscribed =)
Reluctant to talk on camera then get him among the plants and watch him go. It is so beautiful that you were able to capture and share this wonderful man with the world!
Enjoyed this immensely!
We need more people like him not less :-(
I hope people like him have inspired many to pursue their passions.

If only we had more time together!
So glad that part of Chanin's collection is going to be displayed at Sirikit BG and shared with the public. It is a lovely homage and, cannot help but imagine, that someone with such a passion, would be proud of that.
So young, terrible news, privilege you got to share him with us, his legend will live on through textbooks, plants and memories.
I love that he was wearing a plant shirt of one of the varieties he pointed out :D
It had a great phrase on the back too; I made sure to include it in another episode edit.
What I appreciate about you, Summer, is your genuine desire to esteem others better than yourself.
