"Writing should give access to the world." *Watch our other video interview with Benjamín Labatut right here:* th-cam.com/video/ohsQ3WtdWoM/w-d-xo.html
Louisiana channel does a wonderful job in giving us views of writers with a unique take on how to do creative writing which is pure magic like Benjamin here
Fascinating! But also a bit scrambled. One should avoid the monastic notion that what one is doing is sacred and important. Yet writing is very important almost in a religious way. It isn’t about self expression, yet it also is.
At 12:25 Benjamin Labatut tries to come with an answer talking about porosity and how to let the world in, otherwise you pouring out as a poor and boring person. How important it can be not to become a channel. How that to realize you can learn from Bible by the camel and the eye of the needle. A rich person will not pass, only someone who has a need. Intention is no tension
That's interesting. Thanks for sharing. I'll look into Jesse Livermore. I guess the era of speculation has existed since the establishment of society and religion.

Welcome home. you’ve always been here and yet we have still missed you.
I'll have to check out some of his work. I really likes the way he sees things.
What a beautiful interview. Thank you!
grateful to discover his writing through this channel, When We Cease to Understand the World is wonderful
When We Cease To Understand The World and MANIAC were both really good books.
This was wonderful. 🙏🏽
Hes like the mathematicians he writes about , recognizing the pulls in all directions to formulate a succinct holism.
Not only his writing is enchanting, his interviews as well. Great artist.
Why was it too short?
Was I the only one who felt this interview had to continue?
