One thing I see from this gameplay that is not great is when you kick the ball long. When you kick it long the bounce seems to slow the ball down so much and after 2 or 3 bounces the ball stops dead. Otherwise, the game looks amazing! Can't wait to play it some day and get more game plays of the career modes and be a pro modes.

You can't expect an overhaul on gameplay. they got the formula right with the last, So of course it'll look similar, all they have to do is add/tweak the existing system. Don't fix, if it aint broke. They built a new AI system from the ground up, More added and improved are Ball physics, player movement, Instant Replay, Auto-Subs, animations for offense and defense etc. not to mention added modes such as Be A Pro mode and the most in-depth player creator "The FanHub', Which allows you to share your created players, teams, refs across ALL platforms. It's the first of it's kind. The list of upgrades and improvements go on and on. To call it RLL2.5 makes you and countless others look like complete morons. As for commentary, it's also been improved, just not as much as the others. Which is understandable. They hear the cries from the fans for better commentary, so it'll most likely be looked at more for RLL4.

There's never been a game before that truly captures the gameplay of rugby league.. the things that make the difference between winning or losing, like holding down in the ruck, quick play the balls, getting back the 10 or rushing up in defense, or being on the back foot, proper backline moves that force the defense to make reads/gambles, instead it's very basic side to side passing.. the defense is always back the 10.. it's just very clunky and feels like it was made 10 or 15 years ago. There may never be a decent RL game.. as the funding required is hard for such a small sport. Other sports, the professional players can play as themselves and learn something, with this sort of stuff in the video, the real NRL players can't learn anything and it seems to be for teenagers, or a group of mates drunk or high on drugs.
If they made something better, they could charge $50 or $60, instead they make something crap, jack the price sky high and only suckers would pay for it. $90 is a lot for a game that is below average.
This game looks like crap, the running is just horrible and don't get me started with the camera angle. Rugby World Cup 2011 is much better than this garbage.
