What a wonderful day - watched this a few years ago when you released it - but enjoying even more second time around 👌

That was such a great winter even without the easterly onslaught at the start of March. Lots of heavy falls and subsequent sunshine. But yeah I think that was the best day.....closely followed by Ben Lui (because that was a bit unnerving tbh!)

Ben what’s the reason for the double fence Sorry if it’s a stupid question, but I don’t recall seeing this before?

I've no idea! Double fences can be used for biosecurity reasons to prevent your livestock from coming into contact with a neighbour's animals, but I doubt very much that's the reason behind this particular double fence.

I have read the cairns - in this region - were military beacons or watchtowers constructed by the Caledonians to repel advancing Roman armies during the reign of Agricola. I also once read the cairns on Garrow Hill were raised by Fingal's warriors. His son Ossian's grave lies only a few miles to the south at Clach Ossian in the Sma' Glen (A822 road to Crieff). It was said this grave was disturbed by General Wade's troops on the construction of the road north and the reputed bones of Ossian were carried off by the local Gaels to a cave in the vicinity of Glen Almond. The whole area is steeped in history and folklore and I thank Ben for bringing this location to a wider audience by attainment, especially on such a glorious winter's day.

Wow that was a long day out. It looked like hard work but it looked well worth the effort. I bet you had a great time thanks for taking us with you.

Oh it's always worth the effort, even when at the time it feels it isn't.

Seems logical to me, but like you said sometimes it just feels good to be outside :) I certainly feel boosted in all kinds of ways after a day in the snowy sunshine.

I definitely do! If it's not vitamin D it must be due to something science hasn't discovered yet :)
