Hey guys - I'm getting quite a bit of people asking me why I excluded Sonic Forces from the footage. This is NOT out of any negative intent towards that game nor is it in spite. The Sonic games' footage were placed chronologically leading up to Sonic Mania. Sonic Forces released after Sonic Mania, so I decided to exclude it and end it there! :) Not to mention, this song's production started about five months ago, before the release of Sonic Forces! Hope that clears up some confusion!
I deliberately left out all handheld games and stuck with console games. I didn't want to show barely any footage from each game. So I stuck with console games. I didn't forget. :)
Still rather glad Forces was removed, makes me able to enjoy the video more. But that's just me personally, and I know why Forces appeals to people on some level.
This song represents the soul and joy of a true Sonic fan who has been there since the very beginning. The Sonic fan base is more than people think. And this song along with Sonic Mania shows us that Sonic has a bright future. Though I’m only 13, I have been playing Sonic for as long as what I can consider my childhood, and I know that for people who were kids in the 90’s will know what I’m talking about at an even greater level. So let us not forget that Sonic will be staying around for a long, long time.
As A 13 year old, I can say that this isn't true for all of us, there's someone in my school who is older than me who says we speak american. But for those of us that it is true for, I have no idea.
Chi-chi The more I listen the more I love it. Chi-Chi, the timbre of your voice on those high and soft notes is so clean and clear I could meditate on that for hours (into the green is still my favorite of yours :D )
I have to restrict myself from hitting replay so I don’t get burned out of the song! Don’t you hate it when that happens? You love a song so much and listen to it so much to the point of being burned out of it?

A lot of people love to point out the bad side of the Sonic fandom, but fail to recognize the amazing people like you guys who make beautiful work. As a kid, I got bullied pretty much almost every day at school, and on my 8th birthday, my best friend was sick, my mom and her sister had a huge fight, and I got my ass handed to me at school, i didn't even blow out the candles on my cake, I just ran to my room sobbing. My dad walked in with the PS2 and a gift, gave me a hug, and after he set it up, I opened the gift, it was a copy of Sonic Mega Collection +, I spent hours playing it that night... since then, Sonic has always had a special place in my heart. then I remember on the day Sonic mania, it was my second day of senior year in High school, I downloaded the game as i got ready on my switch, and once there, I sat down before class began, and played it... I began to cry because of how beautiful it was. Sonic Mania Plus re ignited my love for sonic, and this song perfectly expresses my love for the blue blur, kudos for such an amazing piece, and may sonic keep on running for another 30 + years.
Also can I say how much I love this animation? It conveys the personality of Sonic so well. It's like the Mania opening animation. Even with the very small amount of animation we get, you can see the bounce Sonic has, how he charges up. You can tell he's cocky and confident, you can see bits of his personality in his movements and I love it.
This made me genuinely smile, it's honestly hard not to when you hear someone sing with that much heart in their voice with such uplifting lyrics! I hope you all have a great day, stay awesome everyone!

I've been a Sonic fan since at least 2003 & this song is a perfect representation of any fan who has stayed with the series for this long. Through the highs & lows the series has had over the years. And that hasn't stopped the Blue Blur nor the amazing fanbase from sticking around. So as long as there's still life in this fantastic franchise, we're going to keep on running for years to come! Great song, really spoke to me more than any other Sonic related song out there. Sometimes, during my busy adult life I end up feeling the need to relieve times when everything felt like it was possible and achievable. When my dreams were what defined how far we could go. This was amazing. I've been playing Sonic for eight years now, and I have to admit, you nailed the feel. This song feels like something you'd expect in a Sonic game itself, the same kind of upbeat feel as some of their best songs ever. The lyrics matched the hype, the success Mania was, how it outdid every other Sonic game. This was beautiful. Good job.

You forgot about the handhelds. They are a huge part of sonic history too with sonic rush influence and such.

Cameron Edwards I don’t think so. New gimmicks are continuously introduced (more or less) and the sense of speed is typically never lost.
I just noticed when Sonic leaps into the ring at the end of the song it looked like how Movie Sonic did in the Sonic movie. Maybe that was an easter egg from this song. I dunno if Sonic leaps like that in other games but maybe Paramount referenced this song in the movie.
