I was one of them, living on my own at 16, just a month shy of my 17th birthday. I primarily spent time with people in their 20s, and even had friends in their late 20s and early 30s. Touching on the age gap topic. My husband and I are in an age gap relationship. I was 18, he was 32 when we first met. The first time we met he asked me how old I was but I didn’t ask because I actually assumed he was in his mid to late 20’s cause he looks young (which is so annoying lol) My age never changed his attitude nor did he ever use his age to manipulate me. Actually, it was always men around MY age that tried to manipulate me. I learned 2-3 months later how old he was, but I had already developed romantic interest in him; we both grew up watching anime (just on different platforms), we both enjoy the same kind of music, and tv shows/movies, we enjoy art, travel, food. We have so much in common! But we also have our differences and sometimes we don’t understand each other, but that is what makes our relationship even more beautiful because we have been able to share so much with each other and we both have taught one another things we hadn’t known before. Touching on the age gap topic. My husband and I are in an age gap relationship. I was 18, he was 32 when we first met. The first time we met he asked me how old I was but I didn’t ask because I actually assumed he was in his mid to late 20’s cause he looks young (which is so annoying lol) My age never changed his attitude nor did he ever use his age to manipulate me. Actually, it was always men around MY age that tried to manipulate me. I learned 2-3 months later how old he was, but I had already developed romantic interest in him; we both grew up watching anime (just on different platforms), we both enjoy the same kind of music, and tv shows/movies, we enjoy art, travel, food. We have so much in common! But we also have our differences and sometimes we don’t understand each other, but that is what makes our relationship even more beautiful because we have been able to share so much with each other and we both have taught one another things we hadn’t known before. I was also a virgin when him. He loved that, but not in a creepy way; he was just elated to think that I was HIS (he had only ever been in relationships with women who had slept with their partners or had a history of promiscuity, so this was new for him). He was patient, understanding, kind, and we have a wonderful life in the bedroom even 6 years later. It really doesn’t even seem like we have an age gap, really. We hardly notice it, honestly.
