The only one of the handful of top guitar “gods” of the 60s who never became an oldies act, All Weighs in the present tense❣️

I recently bought the album, a few months before Beck died. Such a shame that Jeff died at the fairly young age of 78

Great tribute to Jeff. I love Blow By Blow and Wired. I also really love the”orange” album you have in the background along with Rough and Ready….both incredible records. Max Middletons keyboard playing is also off the charts in those albums. I was lucky enough to see Jeff live 7 times over the years. First two time in NY at the ARMs concerts. I went to see Page but it was Jeff that blew my mind and when I got back home to Toronto after those gigs I ran out and bought all the Beck albums. Been a huge fan of his ever since. I was broken when I heard he passed but coming to terms with it now. What a legend. I’ll miss him dearly. Cheers ✌️

i’m not all that familiar with Jeff Beck’s music as i’ve only listened to his 60s albums, but it’s a horrible to know that Jeff has passed. Going a bit off topic, but if you want to hear another rendition of “She’s A Woman,” i recommend listening to the Move’s BBC session of the song. It’s really heavy and powerful and you can easily find on TH-cam

I was honestly never familiar with Jeff Beck's music, my friends really felt his loss though, and this really peaked my interest in not only the album Blow By Blow but Jeff Beck's music in general.

He was totally healthy and hitting it on all 8 cylinders, thought he'd hang around as long as his musical Dad Les Paul.

Lovely tribute! Even though Jeff was old, his death was surprising in that he had been healthy and playing live recently. Blow by blow is a fantastic record, but I also think Guitar Shop is equally great. Jeff was unique in that his band line ups and style of music was never the same.

Jeff Beck was a Legend! Why does death take great legends away from us? 2023 is already bleak for Rock fans.

I just watched your review of 70s Rock .... loved it with some suggestions
Jeff Beck ... my favorite from age 12 to 67. Every day I play Beck's Bolero on piano. That's on Jeff BeckTruth. All the vocals on that album were Rod Stewart... but on your 70s review you mentioned Rod, but not Jeff. NEVERMIND! this tribute to Jeff is great! Isn't it crazy how we need to refer to him as Jeff or Jeff Beck for fear of confusion with another dude named Beck??!!

Truth was 1968 and we did cover it in the 60s video.

I saw this a day ago and my 1st thought was "I can't wait to watch it!" I will be adding more to this as I watch it. At this paragraph, I'm just starting it.
Ok, I finished it. To be honest with you, it's hard to know what to say. For starters, thanks for including interview clips from Jeff and Sir George. 2nd, the live performance clips are priceless.
I couldn't agree with you more with your comments about Air Blower/ Scatterbrain. You're probably going to laugh at this suggestion but I'm going to share it anyways. Try listening to them while watching a Road Runner cartoon Zoom And Bored. The intro to that cartoon sounds like the perfect background music at the beginning. The slowdown part sounds like a scene where the Coyote thinks he's outsmarted another coyote when he's really only out- dumbed himself! The scene where he tries to harpoon the road runner, well, Scatterbrain would be the perfect soundtrack for that. Finally, the scene at the end where the Coyote is exhausted and in pain fits perfectly at the end. The road runner offers a rare act of mercy and is on his way. That's where the guitar starts up again. Ok, I know it sounds like the recipe for combining Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wizard Of Oz. But try watching the cartoon with the music in the background! LOL
'Cause We've Ended As Lovers is hard to listen to without getting choked up. I remember reading a review where somebody said it reminded them of catching a girlfriend making out to another man.
Freeway Jam does sound like a traffic jam! Listen to the live version with a faster tempo and you may be tempted to earn yourself a speeding ticket!
Diamond Dust reminds me of taking a nap and being awoken by my wife who told me in tears a friend of ours had passed away. That always was a hard song to listen to and probably won't change soon.
She's A Woman- Let's just say I'm glad Sir George left it on the album. And it took me years to figure out I was listening to a Beatles tune I had already heard!
Another great review! Thank you, Mr. Curtis! I look forward to hearing your Top 10 Chicago songs when you get to it!

Truth had a fantastic drummer on it- the drums on ‘Shapes’ are incredibly good especially for that time period.

It's an original song called You and Only You (heavily inspired by Jeff Beck):
