I was with an alcoholic for 6 years you can’t speak to them when they’re drinking. It’s a waste of time. They have to be sober. I get called names and cussed out and he remembers nothing. When he wakes up he acts like everything is ok. But I’m hurting. He needs help. My ex would drink as soon as he wakes up gets drunk and back falls asleep and gets drunk again. He wouldn’t even eat all day.
My dad was that way after over 40 years he's sober now at the age of 67! He's lucky he made it that long and some of us stayed his side ( he's my dad❤) but that Doesn't excuse the pain he put everyone including himself through
