First complete school and college.prepare after Clg ,else u will get demotivated/ exhausted /lose interest over time .1 year is sufficient to study upsc Don't waste ur precious school and Clg life ,they will teach u good lessons and skills that wil help for future sure.UPSC is not abt knowledge first understand that.

No need to cover entire ncert. Just read geography from NCERT 6-10 briefly; can be completed in a week. 10-12 geography, economy history do thorough reading and make notes.
If you are from TN, you can prefer SCERT books rather than NCERT
If you are frm sum other board other then CBSE or ICSC then surely you need to cover atleast 8th to 12th NCERT of history,civics,geography and NCERT 11th and 12 society to understand and to grasp best knowledge out of it which is very useful while writing mains
