I'm a pvmer, but I believe pvp is core to the game, and that if anyone thinks it's a good idea to go into the wilderness as a hardcore on day 1 of release... they deserve to get their cheeks clapped

And then you can wake up and tell me about it.

There is nothing they can do to bring back pvp. When it was actually fun was when people and their friends roamed around fighting. Now a days in any game people have min maxed the fun out of the game. Nobody plays like they used to. Not only that but any update that gets brought out gets hit hard by people trying to exploit any little thing they can. So any system that comes out gets fucked and jagex has to take it down. They're just so many little reasons why pking will never be good again. Add in the fact this is a 20 year old clicker game with only 99 hp and ridiculius weapons that drop people in 1 second. And in the end nobody new ends up being interested in it. Pvp will slowly die. As it is now only 5% of the playerbase are pkers. Expect that to drop no matter what jagex does.

My friend and I have 10-15 bh ready accounts (a lot maxed for their build) and nothing to do with them. After quitting in late 2017 I recently just came back to play an ironman, it's a lot of fun, but all this game has left really. The economy is a fucking joke and I don't feel like making a main to do raids 24/7. So I'll play ironman until I get bored, and that'll be the last time I'll ever play Runescape. Even if they brought back BH it's too late for me, im gone.

On top of that they probably didn't expect anyone to be so salty about the update that they would make an account specifically to kill level 3 players in those few seconds.
