Your next idea should be taking your favorite authors favorite books and reading them blindly... i know Caroline Kepnes's favorite book is a book I never heard of personally but she said it's mind blowing
Sabrina M Oh wow.. I didn't even realize this video was this long till I saw this comment when I finished the video 😂😂 I though this was roughly 12mins
Honestly, regardless of those creators content, I can't handle constant hype energy (it feels emotionally overwhelming), so that's why it is so nice to watch Lala - she is honest and subtle in her feelings
This was such a great and unique idea! You are my absolute favorite person to watch on TH-cam because of this! I may have to adapt this challenge and do this next month!
the fact that so many popular booktubers get lazy because they know they're going to get views anyway but you're always trying to come up with original and fresh content ... like, i'm not trying to antagonize you guys but it's just that i think you deserve the world for the amazing content you create!!!!
I am so happy you loved First and Then!!!! Its one of my favorite books, it builds up so perfectly!!!! Also this idea for a video was so fun to be honest I would love to hear a part 2!! The thrillers did sound interesting
Dude. I love this channel so much. I love hearing all the opinions and everything, without necessarily being spoiled. Every video I’ve watched, no book was spoiled necessarily and I love that.
Hey, so, this week has been hard for obvious reasons but your videos have really been helping. I’ve literally been falling asleep to them pretty much every night. So...thank you.
i read the first chapter to check and to be honest it was made on purpose, he wants to recreate the way he thinks her character thinks, almost like a stream of consciousness, hence all those "and". i don't think it's particularly effective but hey, he tried lol
This was fun to watch!! I love how much time you commit to videos. Your videos and ideas are always thought out, planned, and effortful and it’s so amazing to watch. Keep up the great work!
I just want to say that I'm new to your channel, but five minutes into this video, and I've already subscribed. I made a post on twitter earlier that booktube wasn't as original as I wanted it to be in terms of creativity, but this video was great and I'm glad you sludged through the books you didn't like. This video was SO MUCH FUN and so UNIQUE and INNOVATIVE and not really like anything I've seen on booktube thus far and I can't tell quite yet, but I don't think we have similar reading tastes, but I'm already wanting to watch more of your videos. Please, please keep up the great work. I'm excited to see what else you do in the future.
This was GREAT. At first I was like “.....what is the point of this?” But I was intrigued, so I kept watching. This is such a good idea because it forces you to try out books that you haven’t even heard of before! I love how creative you are with your video ideas! 👌🏻
I really liked First and Then when I read it awhile back, and I have Before We Met sitting on my TBR shelf. Looks like it’s moving straight to the top! I love these creative TBR videos! :)
I sincerely love how original your content is. It's why I subscribed in the first place and you never disappoint. I think this could be a fun way to find new books that you have no idea about and I think that's what we learned; just give things a try for whatever reason you can come up with
I've watched a few of your videos now and I love how creative you get and with the statistics and all. Might try this with my own favourite. Thanks for the upload!
Honestly my new favourite booktuber!!! I'm binge watching Lala. I'm living everything about you! Even though funnily enough I've never read or thought to pick up a thriller mystery until I met you!
Even though we both love thrillers, I usually don't like your favorites as much as you do, but I'm still addicted to your channel and that's because your content is so original! You're probably my favorite booktuber ;)
You always make fun of yourself for your ideas but your videos and ideas are so interesting. Ik teens of speaking, you’re better than most of the other booktubers. I love your videos.
You constantly surprise me with your creativity when it comes to video ideas. You are funny and witty and I love watching your videos. Also you have really pretty eyes
Okay, so I just woke up (haven't had a tea even) and spent almost 40 min watching this video. Loved every second of it. But now I seriously need my tea 😂
I bought First and Then too. I read Foolish Hearts and then I saw the hardback on book outlet. You should see the naked cover! The raindrops continue (it never even rains in the book!). Emma Mills is a good writer. Her books are definitely enjoyable.
The moment you talked about missing smiliar covers I noticed the cover for 'The Body In The Wood' and the one for 'The Rattled Bones' were so alike! And that book is by April Henry.
I absolutely love this video, the premise and I'm totally going to try it! And it's so good to know that even though you were kind of iffy on the point of this video I'm glad you continued on with this!
What a great video. Clever idea and boy are you funny😁😁 I actually enjoyed the movie "Girl", but I was a young teenager when I saw it. I never knew it was a book. Blake Nelson is an old man now, but he was in his late teens/early twenties when he wrote it.
You come up with the most amazing ideas for videos💕 I love it! You’re amazing😊 this was so entertaining! I ordered First & Then because I loved Foolish Hearts too. I’m so glad you gave it 5 Stars! I was starting to wonder if I should regret buying it!
Omg I wanna use this choosing concept too! ❤ you always have the most interesting ideas ^.^ LOL the moment I noticed the Lady Midnight Cover is a Person falling, but under water 😂😂 How about a Rainbow TBR? Like a book that is red, a book that is orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, white ? ^^
My favourite Emma Mills is definitely This Adventure Ends which I think you'll really enjoy 1. Because you already liked her other two books 2. Because i think it's your taste in Contemporaries.
I'll be buying Before We Met. I need a new thriller with surprises. Your thriller wishlist is what I'm always looking for. I need to be entertained, twists and second guessing my thoughts or else they're too "basic" to me. Loved this video.
What you were saying about Emma Mills books, This Adventure Ends (her second novel) actually does relate to the cover a lot. The cover is acrylic paint swirls and the book does have a plot line about a painting so that one definitely makes a lot more sense than her first and third novels’ covers
Lala, Before We Met by Lucie Whitehouse sounds so good she has two more books that also sound and look interesting. 1. Keep You Close 2. The Bed I made 3. The House at Midnight. I am looking forward to buying and read her books.
I loved this!! Such a neat idea. Your videos are always so unique and fun. I think the next time you should do 5 books with covers you hate and see if you find something you love.
Very cool concept! I don't think there needed to be a specific "learning experience" from it lol, but I loved that it introduced you to new books and you found a few good ones. And it was an entertaining journey 😊📚 ~Caroline
This was such a fun way to choose books! I'm glad you at least liked some of them! Just bought a thriller with a silhouetted girl and nature on the cover. It made me wonder if it's one you would pick up!
Lala you should do something like read books subscribers recommended like either pick some subscribers' favorite books or since most of us are familiar with your reading taste ask for suggestions based on that and pick a few random comments!
This is a fun approach. I actually discovered Leonard Cohen this way because it was the 80s (I was about 15) and a song with the name "Midnight Lady" was big on the radio in Austria. When I browsed my fathers vinyl collection there was one with a song called "Lady Midnight" and I was like "That's the same for sure!" and listened to it! You can imagine how surprised I was! But I'm a Leonard Cohen fan ever since! :-D
I love your ideas and this video was fun! Lately I've been having a feeling that I've already read everything I like and everything that comes out is bad and boring. So I might try your idea and maybe I will find some good books. Although I will rearrange it a little and just buy books judged purely on their covers! I'm always a little scared to do this and I always read not only a plot but also a few pages before buying a book because I'm a picky reader and books are expensive so there's that. But I will give your idea a chance! 😄
What an interesting idea! It's nice there were some books you liked and some books you didn't like. Oh, on a side-note, I recently bought Dress Codes for Small Towns because you've mentioned it a lot on your channel, so I'm looking forward to read that some time :).
I loved this idea and I may try it in the future. I have really noticed that a lot of thrillers look similar and the same with contemporaries or I guess every genre. That book Before We Met sounds like it could be interesting.
you should do a video where you read books with horrible covers.. or covers you would never pick up if you were shopping
That's what I was going to suggest!
This is something I've always meant to do for myself. Great suggestion!
yes !!
Love this idea!!!
"It's about a teenage vampire that gets stabbed with a unicorn horn." What??
This might even be worse than vampires glittering in the sun!
I have to read that and see wtf
@@thomascampbell350 so?? tell us about it, did you read it?
"He makes her fangs ache." I AM DECEASED.
Books are my Social Life RIGHT 😂 How was I supposed to finish that book!!!
Your next idea should be taking your favorite authors favorite books and reading them blindly... i know Caroline Kepnes's favorite book is a book I never heard of personally but she said it's mind blowing
oooo this is a good idea!
Blake Murray I have this on my video idea list! "Letting authors choose my tbr"
When you put the cover of the vampire book up to your face i CHOKED
I love how you just get an idea and ruthlessly pursue it no matter how crazy it may become.
You are the best at coming up with new and unique booktube videos!😊
nenalogy thank you!!!! 💕
nenalogy yes she is
OMG the writing in Girl! That was painful.
“Two white people about to kiss”- every Nicolas Sparks book ever
Safa Khan HAHAHAHA
But usually after the movie comes out.
“She was calling people prostitots.” Oh my god she had me rolling at this 😆 😂 lol
LMAO WHY DID I LAUGH SO HARD AT "ill find some white people about to kiss on the cover"
this 40 min video was a wild ride worth every minute
Sabrina M Oh wow.. I didn't even realize this video was this long till I saw this comment when I finished the video 😂😂 I though this was roughly 12mins
Honestly any video idea where we get all these hilarious late night clips of you being extra snarky is great IMO.
Yessss!
She’s like the only youtuber that doesn’t get so excited about everything all the time and it’s honestly so comforting
Honestly, regardless of those creators content, I can't handle constant hype energy (it feels emotionally overwhelming), so that's why it is so nice to watch Lala - she is honest and subtle in her feelings
You should try to find covers that look similar to 5 books you dislike!
This is such a fun idea!!!
Two white people about to kiss HAHAHAHA and bLeSs 40 mins of Lala YES YES
This was such a great and unique idea! You are my absolute favorite person to watch on TH-cam because of this! I may have to adapt this challenge and do this next month!
This is honestly one of my favorite videos you've ever posted
Chelsea S oh thank you!! 💕
I'm one minute in and I am already obsessed with this idea! YOU ARE SO CREATIVE!
The more you read of the vampire book's blurb, the harder I laughed. What even is that mess oh my god
The neck of that girl on the cover of Drink Slay Love is sooooo long 😂😂😂I was so confused by it...
ChloeeeRebeccaa holy! She’s not a vampire she’s a giraffe! 😂🤣😂
i think it's just a low cut shirt lol
I love how creative your videos are! x
I love how creative you are with your TBR choices
the fact that so many popular booktubers get lazy because they know they're going to get views anyway but you're always trying to come up with original and fresh content ... like, i'm not trying to antagonize you guys but it's just that i think you deserve the world for the amazing content you create!!!!
This video had me on the edge of my seat! It was kinda like a try a chapter tag and then not at all. XD
This was creative and fun, and I was cracking up through some of the process. Always love the new ideas you try out!
I’m half asleep so I will finish this tomorrow morning but “A BOOT” killed me
Dark Matter is soooooo good! It made me happy to see that in your favorite books pile. 🤗
Me watching old lala vids during quarantine. I think I have to read drink slay love 😂😂
I'm new to this channel but that JOURNAL. Babe, what?! Super cute and organized. Subscribed.
I am so happy you loved First and Then!!!! Its one of my favorite books, it builds up so perfectly!!!! Also this idea for a video was so fun to be honest I would love to hear a part 2!! The thrillers did sound interesting
Every time you upload a video, my amazon wishlist gets longer. But I'm not complaining.
Hayley Schrock same here 😂
Dude. I love this channel so much. I love hearing all the opinions and everything, without necessarily being spoiled. Every video I’ve watched, no book was spoiled necessarily and I love that.
“Two white people about to kiss.”
HAHAHAHA
Hey, so, this week has been hard for obvious reasons but your videos have really been helping. I’ve literally been falling asleep to them pretty much every night. So...thank you.
So many “ands” in girl 😂
hannahheartsbooks6 to think that that book has to be edited and no one told the author he writes like a ten year old with all those ands.
i read the first chapter to check and to be honest it was made on purpose, he wants to recreate the way he thinks her character thinks, almost like a stream of consciousness, hence all those "and". i don't think it's particularly effective but hey, he tried lol
This was fun to watch!! I love how much time you commit to videos. Your videos and ideas are always thought out, planned, and effortful and it’s so amazing to watch. Keep up the great work!

I love how creative you are with your video ideas! 👌🏻
Best 40 minutes spent on TH-cam. Love your channel!!!
I don't understand how you could have possible gotten through Girl with that writing style. Oh my god. Your read aloud portion was enough for me.
I don’t know why your old videos keep showing up on my recommended videos but I’m here for it 😂
I am CRYING over that vampire book! 😂🤣😂 I can’t wait to finish the video and hear your thoughts. 😅
Drink Slay Love was the book that was adapted into a movie that was filmed in Vernon last summer.
vernon, bc? dude i live right by there lmao
Sky is everywhere!!😍 That book is one of my favorite! I read it just at the right time when I was in a very introspective poetic teen phase 😄
I really liked First and Then when I read it awhile back, and I have Before We Met sitting on my TBR shelf. Looks like it’s moving straight to the top! I love these creative TBR videos! :)
I sincerely love how original your content is. It's why I subscribed in the first place and you never disappoint. I think this could be a fun way to find new books that you have no idea about and I think that's what we learned; just give things a try for whatever reason you can come up with
I want to know more about the ridiculousness of Eat, Slay, Love! A vampire that got shanked by a unicorn? How? Why?
I've watched a few of your videos now and I love how creative you get and with the statistics and all. Might try this with my own favourite. Thanks for the upload!
Honestly my new favourite booktuber!!! I'm binge watching Lala. I'm living everything about you! Even though funnily enough I've never read or thought to pick up a thriller mystery until I met you!

Lala, queen of unique BookTube ideas and overall queen
You constantly surprise me with your creativity when it comes to video ideas. You are funny and witty and I love watching your videos. Also you have really pretty eyes
This is so fabulous, I love the idea! Can’t wait to see your TBR too!
I saw three books that I own while you were scrolling through and I loved Girl, Stolen and book two, Count All Her Bones by April Henry
I appreciate how much time it would have taken you to film, read and edit for this - it was so worth it! Love this video idea!
Okay, so I just woke up (haven't had a tea even) and spent almost 40 min watching this video. Loved every second of it. But now I seriously need my tea 😂
This we such a fun idea! Great way to expand and read some books you didn’t have on your tbr.
I bought First and Then too. I read Foolish Hearts and then I saw the hardback on book outlet. You should see the naked cover! The raindrops continue (it never even rains in the book!). Emma Mills is a good writer. Her books are definitely enjoyable.
I think this is a great way to randomly expand your reading horizons! You have such creative ideas of doing so!
The moment you talked about missing smiliar covers I noticed the cover for 'The Body In The Wood' and the one for 'The Rattled Bones' were so alike! And that book is by April Henry.
I like these “read 5 books based on this random thing” games. Please make more, you’re inspiring me!
I absolutely love this video, the premise and I'm totally going to try it! And it's so good to know that even though you were kind of iffy on the point of this video I'm glad you continued on with this!
Your reactions to Drink, Slay, Love SO priceless!
This is such a fun and interesting concept. I love unique ways to find new reads.
What a great video. Clever idea and boy are you funny😁😁 I actually enjoyed the movie "Girl", but I was a young teenager when I saw it. I never knew it was a book. Blake Nelson is an old man now, but he was in his late teens/early twenties when he wrote it.
Such an awesome idea! loved watching your reactions to each book and finding which ones you didn't really like.
Ah this video was so much fun!
I'm obsessed with all your creative video ideas!
I've owned before we met for years and have never picked it up. Now I finally have motivation to read it!
You make the most creative and unique videos! I love watching them
You come up with the most amazing ideas for videos💕 I love it! You’re amazing😊 this was so entertaining! I ordered First & Then because I loved Foolish Hearts too. I’m so glad you gave it 5 Stars! I was starting to wonder if I should regret buying it!
I liked the concept you were striving for with this video! Pretty neat idea…I may have to try that in the future.
Omg I wanna use this choosing concept too! ❤ you always have the most interesting ideas ^.^

I REALLY enjoyed this concept! I think I'll give it a try for May for a couple of books. You're awesome!!
I'll be buying Before We Met. I need a new thriller with surprises. Your thriller wishlist is what I'm always looking for. I need to be entertained, twists and second guessing my thoughts or else they're too "basic" to me. Loved this video.

I am looking forward to buying and read her books.
Amazing video, I watched the entire of it and I love your creativity referring to books and videos. I will try something like this in the near future.
My 6th grade students LOVED everything April Henry. Good intro to thriller.
This was a fun idea! I actually own First & Then but haven’t read it yet. Glad to hear that it’s good!
I don't know why you questioned yourself so much on this idea, it was awesome! I really enjoyed your idea, it was very creative.
This was such a unique idea. It was definitely one of the most interesting videos I’ve seen in a while.
I usually don't watch Booktube videos this long but I was hooked. I desperately needed to know how it went. Hilarious idea
This was such a fun way to choose books! I'm glad you at least liked some of them! Just bought a thriller with a silhouetted girl and nature on the cover. It made me wonder if it's one you would pick up!
Okay I LOVED this idea. It was so funny and I actually got excited when you ended up liking some books!

I am currently reading Before We Met by Lucie Whitehouse and I am almost done. I am really enjoying it so far. This is a really fun video.
What an interesting idea! It's nice there were some books you liked and some books you didn't like. Oh, on a side-note, I recently bought Dress Codes for Small Towns because you've mentioned it a lot on your channel, so I'm looking forward to read that some time :).
I love the concept of this! Defo wanna try it in the future.
What’s a sunlight loving vamp to do?
Don't die my love!! omg I went through an extreme lurlene mcdaniel obsession in middle school and read every book by her that I could get my hands on!
I loved this idea and I may try it in the future. I have really noticed that a lot of thrillers look similar and the same with contemporaries or I guess every genre. That book Before We Met sounds like it could be interesting.
