So everyone is complaining that they made a character TOO GOOD?!?!?! Granted I'm a near global launch player so not dealing with the low arena stuff but they had better not touch him. End game he's fine and manageable so as the lower level players progress in the game and unlock Apoc/Skrull/Dorm etc. they'll be able to counter him just like the big boys and girls. As someone else mentioned, I don't think they planned for six month players to be able to unlock him so just like it was a nice surprise to get him WAY early, there's going to be unintended consequences. Besides, this seems like a mostly level playing field, depending on how built up each player builds him. It's not like one has an advantage over another. Also, if they're not going to fix the slinging in the arena, there's no way they're going to alter a character to "fix" the arena for newer players.
Speak for yourself. Even in my endgame he is a problem and that is before everyone gets their payout of his shards. He is going to be a major problem in arena and cc. His kit is way too strong. If they don’t nerf him they will make a hard counter new toon. He has made arena dull even for endgame
If old man Logan has 1 living ally, gain revive once. Easy fix to the revive sistuation in arena. Edit: an idea people will hate, gate the first nide of the future scourges behind the team requirment, no cheesing node 2 then
The only complaint I have heard about oml is that if it comes down to oml vs oml, it’s a stalemate and an arena defense actually holds. We finally have an arena character that can result in holding besides the newest dd character, and suddenly ppl are freaking out because they aren’t used to any more to having an arena defense that can hold. It’s okay for defenses to hold. Wolvie vs wolvie, Emma vs emma, and nn vs nn would result in the same thing. The oml vs oml stalemate isn’t new. I get that’s it is a problem for newer players. So that might justify the smallest of tweaks to solve that such as if only oml vs oml, then the special doesn’t give revive once.
Shang chi technically was nerfed too, he was doing stuff he wasn’t meant to making him better then after people bought his offers based on what he was actually doing they brought him closer to what his description said but kept a small part of his healing on his special. The next trial character will be the answer to oml. They’ve been accelerating the power creep the last few months. We (the player base) showed them with black knight we’ll gladly gobble up the new hotness with glee so a couple months later they brought out oml to be the new hotness and in a couple months there’ll be the next new hotness. It’s also one of the reasons mephisto got buffed. No one was going to chase him with all the other new characters that were potentially on the same level
I don’t think they intended for people to be able to unlock him on that one node on the top difficulty. Not sure if they have ever addressed that but it is quite awful for players without an Apoc or an old man Logan of their own.
They intended it that way, the chart showed how many nodes you had to do on different difficulties in order unlock him so anyone that looked at the chart could tell you only needed to do the one node on highest diff to get the unlock
Tauna, your current thumbnail is misleading, it makes it seem like nerfs are already announced, but your video is just discussing nerfs. I feel like Scopely said long ago they would never nerf anyone again. If they do nerf Mephisto, they can say it was because of the buff they gave him, but I think Old Man Logan is going to stay as he is. Normal players would be mad, Krakens would be furious, so I just don't see nerfs happening for him.
My OML (no revives)with 3 living allies vs enemy OML (revived once already) enemy OML dies and revives. kills 1 ally, dies. revives. kills rest of your allies. OML(0 deaths) vs Enemy OML (died 3 times) time runs out. Enemy OML wins! sounds legit
No it’s true, MFM can beat a team 2x punch up I’ve seen it happen it’s annoying in arena. Watch msf “sell” us a solution for this problem in the next patch
They should have swapped old man Logan’s basic special minus the revive and ultimate with apocalypse and that would have been perfect apoc should be overpowered like this not old man Logan
Should be either gain revive once if have 4 M4M, or gain revive once only once per match.. but at it's current iteration, it is still beatable if you play it right.
