I feel like that should still be a Tom Holland moment, Andrew Garfield could help out in some way, even if it's just telling Tom to physically catch her, Andrew could then throw out a web net to catch them both.
The villains could just be plucked from their timeline *before* they die in their original movies and actualised visually closer to their comic book version.
I think these characters show some time having passed from their original appearance, because they 1) age and 2) their costumes look different. If it were the exact same versions from the previous movies, and they were pulled after they became villains but before they died, then I feel like they would look exactly the same as they did in their initial movie appearance, even down to some light CG-de-aging that Marvel Studios has used before.
@@christopherdass10 You're probably right about the de-aging, I might just be too familiar with 2004 Molina that I think he looks more his age in No Way Home, and that's on me. But I also know that Gwyneth Paltrow forgot which Marvel movie she was in, they tell actors so little when they film these, and even Michael Keaton didn't understand the "Multiverse" concept when he was shooting The Flash, but he didn't really need to understand everything to be able to put in a great performance. So who knows if what Molina was told about his character will end up in the final version of the movie or if it'll be changed or what.
@@christopherdass10 The problem with that is that Doc already had his ”redeeming moment” at the end of Spiderman 2 before he ”died”. Why would he want to fight Peter then the moment he sees him in the trailer?
I have the feeling that the shot where Peter jumps in the fight with lizard, electro and sandman will be changed in the movie showing three Spider-Man instead of one. I feel that the shotcomposition would make more sense that way.
Definitely. Lizard isn’t even jumping towards Tom Holland. He’s looking somewhere else. They did a good job editing it out but they will definitely be there.
It doesn't need to be changed. All they did was not include the two layers of that scene that include Tobey and Andrew. The film cut will have those two layers.
There IS a shot of Doc Ock at what seems to be the final battle. He's getting blasted off the side of the building by electricity. So...I'm leaning towards him being a full on ally at some point..
I mean at the end after his death, he was one of the only villains who really realized that they weren’t in control and were making a mistake. It’s not hard to see that Doc Ock could still be the guy who realized that but a misunderstanding is what causes the fight at the start…
I think so too, if this is him taken after falling into the river at the end of SM2 then he's already back to normal and in control of the arms instead of the AI. I imagine he'll try to help Peter, maybe even die trying. I don't quite get how Connors has become the Lizard again, or why Sandman is being evil. It's possible they've both been taken from a point before the end of their respective movies and it's just Ock, Goblin, and Electro that have been taken just before their deaths
@@DextroDNAOfficial Maybe if he's not evil he gets a happy ending. I could see Strange sending him back to a reality where his wife from Spider-Man 2 didn't die during that accident....but he did? Doc oc in Spider Man 2 says his tentacles are made of nano-tech. That’s why it molds with Spidey’s Stark nano-tech Great reaction! You guys are awesome
@@mindwarr I actually would prefer for them all to be different versions, but actually you can see the blue Electro in this trailer when he manifests. Same with Green Goblin and Doc Ock, they change a while after they manifest in this universe. Maybe they are changing to what they would be in mcu? Im sure it will all be explained in the movie.
Well Kevin Feige did say that the Doc Oc character is picking up from when we last left him in the river in a recent interview so, I’m going to assume all these villains are getting pulled from their timelines right before they meet their “fated” demise
I don't think it's right before for all of them. The odd thing is IF doc oc is right before he dies in the river why would he be fighting spider man? They sort of have a "make up" at the end and are basically allies. Unless doc oc has some sort of confusion going on and is just going kinda like "what the fuck?" and breaking shit so peter instinctively just attacks him. We obviously don't see the full scene so just can speculate. The way he says "Hello Peter" perhaps it's kind of like a "I'm alive!" and Peter doesn't get how doc knows him. Will be interesting to see how it plays out though.
In an extended trailer you can see the lizard getting punchedby what it seems like nothing. So its pretty much confirmed that they edited out the other 2 spideys
No, he could also be an Octavius from ANOTHER reality where he looks like Alfred Molina and Peter Parker looks like Tobey Maguire. Nah I think he teams up with spiderman and co at the start but then comes up with his own plan and sides with the other villains, therefore sinister six.
Spider-Men and Venom and Dr. Strange possibly or only Spideys and Dr. Strange with Venom joining in with the villians to make the sinister six complete
My theory is that they are indeed the Raimi/Webb villains we’ve come to love. I think Strange’s spell pulled them out of their universes with new life in them which is why I think Electro says “you’ll never take this away from me” as if he had everything to lose. These guys are overthinking it. All these villains are from their respective universes that we know of. Alfred Molina is obviously not gonna look the same way that he did in 2002.
umm... Not exactly. They are already different, because they did not die, so they migght change them a little bit. Watch Loki to see how that works. They might be from exact same universe like Raimi, but just had slightly different looks. Already makes them variants, different iterations. Even if all the other stuff happened all the same, which I assume is the idea, to not confuse people, so just their design will be slightly upgraded.
I really think that Andrew Garfield's Spiderman is gonna save MJ on that scene. Like a redemption for not being able to have saved Gwen. 🤯 And just imagine if Marvel decides to put the 3 Spidies together, pointing at each other like 'that' famous meme?! 😂🤣🤩 It's gonna be dope! 🙌
In an interview with Alfred Molina earlier this year, he stated that it picks up for his character moments before he drowns and he's pulled from right out of there, so its more of a continuation for his character, idk about everyone else
You should watch their reactions to other TV shows! I have so much fun watching their discussions and I even look forward to it more than the “reaction”.
If you notice though, when Ock has the Stark tech it is when he grabs Spider-Man in the Intergraded Suit and absorbs the tech so it is still possible that this is the Rami Ock. Pretty sure the scene where Spider-Man is trying to catch Mary Jane is more reminiscent of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with Gwen Stacy and... you know what happens to her. My guess the Spider-Man in that scene will actually be Andrew Garfield.
It actually is both. Spider-Man 1 when MJ falls from the bridge and Tobey saves her and Amazing Spider-Man 2 where Andrew fails to save Gwen. I think Andrew will end up saving her

Ock's "upgrade", I think he straight up stole it or integrated it from Peter during their bridge fight. Hence why Peter doesn't wear his armored suit again.
To me, it’s pretty clear that these are in fact the original versions of the villains, just plucked from a spot in their respective timelines before their death. Also if you look at the shot with Spidey’s black suit with the magic web shooter, behind him there appears to be Electro looking very similar to how he did in ASM2, blue lightning and all. Maybe he doesn’t become more human looking with yellow lightning until he gets that new suit of his later in the movie, just like how Goblin appears in both is original suit and a new outfit in this very trailer. Just my speculation though
There is no way Doc Ock would know Peter Parker and still would be Evil....'coz in his final time when he learned the secret Identity....he Came back to good side to abandon his project for Saving the City
I totally agree with Hector about Spider-Man fans and their obsession with leaks and this fixation on Tobey and Andrew coming back. Let’s just enjoy the movie we get.
No one is mentioning the fact that there's a picture of Ned/MJ just above his chest. You can see it in the scene where Electro is behind Spiderman and he's got the magic bands on his right arm.
When they're laughing at otto's name, don't you think they could be laughing at Tobey or Andrew saying they're Peter Parker as well... That would explain why Tom's asking for the real name cause they don't believe there's another Peter
Ha! When Hector said ‘mustache twirling’ it reminded me that Alfred Molina played Snidely Whiplash (the mustache-twirlingest villain ever) in in the 1999 masterpiece Dudley Do-Right.
U guys are nuts if you think these are "alternate versions" of the villains.. its Raimi's villains.. its Webb villains.. why over complicate it for the general audience?
It wouldn't make sense to bring back Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx to reprise their roles as these characters if they were just going to be characters from a random dimension not related to the previous films. Just a thought.

Damn so that means Endgame happened in like... Spider Man 1 hell the The Infinity Saga ended in Spider-Man 2
It was Molina who said that
@@alyces8203 Nope xD What are you on about? Spiderman 1 and 2 were set in the times they were released in... Endgame was clearly year 2023... They are pulled from not only different universes, but different times as well, clearly.
I don't think that's the case though.
It's a Variant, in the same vein as Loki.
I would love it if Andrew garfields introduction is him saving a falling MJ. Talk about redemption.
Imagine saving her and saying "not this time"
I've been thinking the same thing! It would be so perfect and poetic.
I feel like that should still be a Tom Holland moment, Andrew Garfield could help out in some way, even if it's just telling Tom to physically catch her, Andrew could then throw out a web net to catch them both.
@Re3lentless I think they CGI'd Andrews face on Tom's body for that scene. The hair looks like Andrew's and Tom's face looks slightly off.
Dafoe's voice is a masterpiece.
The Lighthouse monologue gives me chills everytime
The villains could just be plucked from their timeline *before* they die in their original movies and actualised visually closer to their comic book version.
I think these characters show some time having passed from their original appearance, because they 1) age and 2) their costumes look different.
If it were the exact same versions from the previous movies, and they were pulled after they became villains but before they died, then I feel like they would look exactly the same as they did in their initial movie appearance, even down to some light CG-de-aging that Marvel Studios has used before.
or they actually were just from another universe where they don't die at all, or probs was suppose to die but then was transported to mcu universe
@@hectorminator Molina has said that these are the same characters and Molina is indeed deaged in this movie.

In the Brazilian trailer, it shows in that scene Lizard getting punched by thin air, so yes definitely

@@juanita-dark
Nah, that’s ant man bro
That would be a nice send-off for the character. They all seem to be painted somewhat sympathetically except for Goblin who I bet is the main villain. Maybe the Spider-Mans get to save them all except GG..
Between that, the clip of him going "wait youre not Peter Parker." And Peter and his friends comfortably playing joking him, I'm guessing you're right. I think Oc is going to be helping as well.
@@davidsavage5630 I think it was confirmed that GG is the main villain, but I'm not 100% certain.

you’re missing the most important part from this trailer. Doc Ock saying "you’re not peter parker" shows that Tom it’s not the spider man he knew but tobey's
Doc oc in Spider Man 2 says his tentacles are made of nano-tech. That’s why it molds with Spidey’s Stark nano-tech
Great reaction! You guys are awesome
Yes these are the characters from Tobey and Andrews universe. Alfred Molina already said this is right before he drowns.
No, he said it takes place right where it left off so when he "died", not before.
I mean, Electro clearly isn't that character.
@@mindwarr He is supposed to be the same. The blue version just looked bad, that's why he's redesigned.
@@mindwarr he’s blue in the beginning but gets stark tech to change

Doctor Octavius - "YOU ARE NOT PETER".
Also Doctor Octavius: My name is Otto Octavius.
Peter and friends: seriously, what's your actual name?
It's Sam Ramis doc oc because he says "you're not Peter" when he pins Tom Holland down
bingo
No, he could also be an Octavius from ANOTHER reality where he looks like Alfred Molina and Peter Parker looks like Tobey Maguire.
WHAT IF...? showed us many, many realities where all the characters look exactly the same. So it stands to reason that the Multiverse is infinite, and there are probably a LOT or realities where Spider-characters look like they do in the Sam Raimi movies.
@@Smokey1419 yeah no shit lol. But 1) he’s dead and 2) Marvel Studios wanted an excuse to put their own spin on these characters, especially in regards to how they look, so I think that’s why they’re “Variants” from other, other universes.

Doc Oc looks like he steals some nanotech upgrade, which allows for some logical thinking again.
Wild card prediction: Otto "teams up" with Peter and "sacrifices" himself during the final battle to let Peter know that they're destined to die whether they're fighting with or against Spider-Man so it's not his fault. My theory is that they are indeed the Raimi/Webb villains we’ve come to love. I think Strange’s spell pulled them out of their universes with new life in them which is why I think Electro says “you’ll never take this away from me” as if he had everything to lose. As for Electro’s design, wasn’t itJamie Foxx’s wish to not be blue for this role? So that has significant bearing on why this is his design despite being the same Electro from ASM2
They all change design, obviously, but If you didnt notice, Green Goblin starts with original look, but changes later in the trailer, same with Doc Ock. You can even see BLUE ELECTRO IN THE TRAILER when he manifests first time probably in mcu. Its just that he will change throughout the movie like the Gobby and Doc Ock?

@@adamburke4738 I don’t really see where there is a problem with Holland’s performance. He’s fantastic in the role. These guys are overthinking it. All these villains are from their respective universes that we know of. Alfred Molina is obviously not gonna look the same way that he did in 2002.
Right he clearly says your not Peter basically saying he’s not tobey
