hi i just saw a comment like a second ago about putting the background black box behind the text and i do understand your point on it hides important details in the scene .. so i do recommend when doing the subtitles use white font with thick black border it always helps to define the text over light background scenes so you can read the subtitles easily. but in all thank you so much for your hard work subtitling..i have done it before and its not an easy job so good on you :) :)

Jefrey Ficke this is something I think you can fix yourself by hitting the setting cog on the video, going to subtitles, and you can choose the way they look there

Sorry but I'm avoiding the black border as much as I can. The reason simply is that it covers too much of the picture. Often important details are left hidden because of the black box. For example Larias is kissing, but you can't see the kiss because the black box is on te way and you only see their eyes :/ Thus I only use black boxes scenes where you simply have no other option.

Emmerdale production and budget is different class than the Secret Lives. We love Emmerdale here in Finland. I think it`s the most watched foreign series here. It is otherwise guite a coincidence how similar plot patterns are going to both series ( Lari and Elias / Aaron and Robert )
Elias needs to focus on his boyfriends health and well being. He is recovering from being shot by Elias. I would do nothing better than to take care of Lari. Nothing else would matter. not even if the world was coming to an end.

But I think when it comes down to creativity and plot development whether 5 writers or 15. it comes down to the writers and producers themselves and whether they rise to the occasion. I feel they have not here.

I kind of like the furry neck, also, with everything they've been through, who wouldn't forget to shave it. Kidnapped baby, shooting,possibility of going to jail and/or facing criminal gun possession charges even if Lari survives. further Lari baby drama. It's easy to forget, or be in a rush when distracted by factors that are not part of the routine. He shot his boyfriend. That counts as suitable distraction for a week or so at least.
clearly Elias should consider becoming a detective with all his love for solving things ^^
