I’m entering the most apathetic phase of me being a Steeler fan ever. Tomlin is a choker, Smith is predictable, Austin is just Butler 2.0, Russ is washed and needs to retire, and Art just accepts it. It’s a damn disgrace. No other franchise would keep this up for this long. I’d rather be 2-15 or some other garbage record and not have a hope for the playoffs and build for the future than be 9-8 or 10-7 every year with constant playoff embarrassments

Getting beat in the playoffs by the Ravens is one thing. But nobody wanted to play football yesterday. It was very strange. That plus the last four games being blown out. WTF?
Okay people here are some numbers for you. The teams they played this year had an overall win-loss record of 121-117... mediocre. They played 7 teams that ended up with a winning season and 7 teams that ended up with losing records. Also on game days they played 9 teams with a .500 record or better. They were 3-6 against these teams....very mediocre.
I remember an old "Tank McNamara" cartoon in the 1980s where "every team in the NFL had lost more games than they won." That was a dig on the league's quest for "parity".
Don't forget we played 4 games on short weeks..4 th hardest schedule in the league going in...and out last five games were against very good teams. Schedule was not in our favor
Saddest part is we is stuck in this cycle until 2027 or 2028 until a actual change is happening. Yea after these last 2 years from losing to a 2-10 team in back to back home games, and now going from 10-3 with the AFC North in our hands only to lose 5 straight letting the AFC north slip through our fingers the Ravens and getting smacked by them in Baltimore twice in 3 weeks is just beyond unacceptable and i’m furious about it. I can’t take this shit anymore and I can’t even continue to pay attention to this team as long as Tomlin is the coach. For the past 7 years I’ve hated life as a Steelers fan.

I'm fine with losing, I figured we would. What I'm not fine with is that the franchise doesn't seem to care. Same story every year but they refuse to make changes. As long as Tomlin is here and we keep pretending we aren't in a rebuild, we will keep winning 10 games and losing in the wild card. Everyone forgets, they had 3 starting offensive lineman injured for the season. They had to start rookies on the O-line. They could block to run or pass. And Russ had no time to get the ball away. Especially when every team is double covering Pickens. The opponent isn't scared of the rest of the offense. And the defense gets gassed

I feel the reason all these players are saying what their saying is because with Tomlin the players get a friend, protection from other coaches, tolerance for childish immature behavior, fake accountability, early end of season vacations, if your a defender, you get over paid...so why would these guys want a real coach who would expect and demand performance, who would hold them accountable for their play or lack of, who would hold them accountable for their behavior on and off the field, who would possibly extend the season with playoff wins which means more work for them. They don't want that. Thats why they love playing for Tomlin. Soooooooooo......... I know its easy for me to say, a lifelong 58 yr old fan living in NC, but the reality is money talks...like I stated in a previous post I will not spend any of my hard earned money on merch for this team until I see Rooney take this team seriously. I used to wear my steeler gear around town proudly, I haven't done that lately because its mildly embarrassing, and with Rooney and Tomlin I don't see it getting any better. Tomlin is a better version of John Harbaugh. Harbaugh was on the verge of getting fired before he kept Lamar as the full-time starter in 2018. Lamar pretty much saved his job. That's the only difference. Rooney isn't firing Tomlin as quickly. Tomlin needs a QB bad.

Just about every year in Baltimore people say we should fire Harbaugh. And everytime those comments come out and start to gain momentum I always say okay, who are you going to hire that is two steps above him on the coaching ladder? Usually, there isn't a direct answer to that question. In fact if we had fired Harbaugh, most analysts would say that Harbaugh would immediately be another teams first choice as their new head coach. I am not a fan of Tomlin. I didn't like him keeping his team in the locker room to avoid standing for the national anthem and I didn't like him stepping onto the field during a live play to try to interfere with it. With that said, this is a man who has never had a losing season for your team. How spoiled are the fans who have never had a losing season in what the past 18 years or whatever. Maybe, just maybe, this team overachieved this entire season because of Tomlin until the wheels just started to fall off and it coasted into the playoffs. Your frustration is completely understandable but realistically who can you hire tomorrow that will go above and beyond never having a losing season and also win more games then you lose in the playoffs for the next 18 years.

I'm fine with losing, I figured we would. What I'm not fine with is that the franchise doesn't seem to care. Same story every year but they refuse to make changes. As long as Tomlin is here and we keep pretending we aren't in a rebuild, we will keep winning 10 games and losing in the wild card.
I'd rather have a 3 win season where I know for a fact there is no hope and we need to focus on rebuilding. Instead we take a team that should have 5 or 6 wins, get them to 9 or 10, then have false hope against good teams.

Everyone forgets, they had 3 starting offensive lineman injured for the season. They had to start rookies on the O-line. They could block to run or pass. And Russ had no time to get the ball away. Especially when every team is double covering Pickens. The opponent isn't scared of the rest of the offense. And the defense gets gassed

Ever since we lost to the jags that one year, I’ve been said tomlin is no longer the guy for this organization. Tomlin still being here with the success he has had for the past 10 years has been long overdue. He should’ve left after that 2020 season honestly. Any other coach in his predicament would have not surpassed that 2020 season , but here we are 🤦♂️ “1 and done” is the name of this movie.

I feel the reason all these players are saying what their saying is because with Tomlin the players get a friend, protection from other coaches, tolerance for childish immature behavior, fake accountability, early end of season vacations, if your a defender, you get over paid...so why would these guys want a real coach who would expect and demand performance, who would hold them accountable for their play or lack of, who would hold them accountable for their behavior on and off the field, who would possibly extend the season with playoff wins which means more work for them. They don't want that. Thats why they love playing for Tomlin.

I know its easy for me to say, a lifelong 58 yr old fan living in NC, but the reality is money talks...like I stated in a previous post I will not spend any of my hard earned money on merch for this team until I see Rooney take this team seriously. I used to wear my steeler gear around town proudly, I haven't done that lately because its mildly embarrassing, and with Rooney and Tomlin I don't see it getting any better. I am not advocating for a massive boycott, this is just my intent, its my personal protest for bringing Tomlin back next year. Tomlin sucks!

Tomlin is a better version of John Harbaugh. Harbaugh was on the verge of getting fired before he kept Lamar as the full-time starter in 2018. Lamar pretty much saved his job. That's the only difference. Rooney isn't firing Tomlin as quickly. Tomlin needs a QB bad.

Just about every year in Baltimore people say we should fire Harbaugh. And everytime those comments come out and start to gain momentum I always say okay, who are you going to hire that is two steps above him on the coaching ladder? Usually, there isn't a direct answer to that question. In fact if we had fired Harbaugh, most analysts would say that Harbaugh would immediately be another teams first choice as their new head coach. I am not a fan of Tomlin. I didn't like him keeping his team in the locker room to avoid standing for the national anthem and I didn't like him stepping onto the field during a live play to try to interfere with it. With that said, this is a man who has never had a losing season for your team. How spoiled are the fans who have never had a losing season in what the past 18 years or whatever. Maybe, just maybe, this team overachieved this entire season because of Tomlin until the wheels just started to fall off and it coasted into the playoffs. Your frustration is completely understandable but realistically who can you hire tomorrow that will go above and beyond never having a losing season and also win more games then you lose in the playoffs for the next 18 years.

This season was an absolute fail and it involves around coaching and Art Rooney (Art the clown). I’ve seen many games on TV during the 90s, 2000s, 2010s, and now, last night was the cherry on top. I gave Mike Tomlin chance after chance after chance after chance and I’m done. And it’s like Rob said like putting in a VHS tape watching it and pressing the rewind button. I’m tired of waiting on a damn Super Bowl. It’s time for Steelers nation to use their voice and boycott to tell Art Rooney to fire Tomlin, until that day happens, the rebuild begins.

Mediocrity coaching leads to mediocre draft picks. Always the same run, run, pass, punt. RINSE AND REPEAT. No communication. Tomlin stated he would rather run the ball instead of passing, because its less risk of a turnover. I'm like what the hell? I'm so frustrated and fed up with the coaching. The Rooneys need to grow a pair and start cleaning house from the top down.
