    Join me as we visit some of Aitutaki's most beautiful views from above. All scenes captured in January 2018 during our two week stay in the Cook Islands...a true South Pacific paradise! Scenes include: Pacific Resort Aitutaki, One Foot Island, Honeymoon Island, Heaven Sandbar.
    Captured by the dji phantom 4 pro, during a 2 weeks stay to the cook islands (1 week on rarotonga and another week on aitutaki...both stays were at pacific resort properties)

    Hi there I have a question ? I am travelling to Aitutaki on 13th June 2021
    With my DJI mavic pro 2 And I know that there some places that are restricted such as the airport obviously and 4km around it
    As I’ve been looking at the flight map of the island . Some people say that you don’t need permit to fly your drone at one foot Island
    Any information would be much appreciated

    At 1:02 or 4:02 I believe that one of those sections of sand is where the Windows XP Azul Wallpaper was taken in 1991. Despite no trees being there anymore possibly due to ever-changing sea levels and storms.
    Either that or it could be one of those much larger islands now.. 🤔

    This was a German colony before WW I. After the Kaiser defeat, all German Pacific colonies were divided by the the League of Nations. Marshall Islands, Samoa, Bouganville and many others. Most of us associate French, Spain, USA being major players in this area. I too spent 2 weeks, a week in Rarotonga and the second week in Aututaki. I brought a DJI Spark. My best vacation so far. Cook island is an independent nation with defense, economy and foreign policy administered by New Zealand. If you are from the commonwealth country, you can stay as long as you want - no visa.

    Can you share areas where non-swimmers can snorkel and still see diverse marine life (corals and tropical fishes) like your video of Taha'a? The coral garden of the Le Taha'a was too beautiful and easily manageable for non-swimmers. Hoping if Aitutaki has something like that near resorts/huts/hotels.

    • @WhatMyLensSees
      @WhatMyLensSees  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure Pintu. I didn’t have as much time as I would’ve liked on Aitutaki to fully explore the entire lagoon, but I will say the coral reef and fish along Pacific Resort Aitutaki is fairly large, in really good shape and very shallow. For much of that area, you can just stand up if necessary (especially at lower tides). Thanks for the comment and channel support!

      Quite possibly the most jaw dropping beautiful place I’ve ever visited. We were there the second week in January and had a nice week of weather. There was some wind and a day or two of rain, but I’d say 75% of the time we spent there was beautiful weather. Obviously no guarantees but I think it’s like most tropical places where sustained days upon days of rain are pretty unlikely. Instead expect a passing rain shower mixed in with some sun each day, hope that helps and hope you get to visit. It’s a truly special place!!
