I have a template for this double pocket card that I made almost 20 years ago. I made them for friends & enclosed a letter of blessing & encouragement. It's good to see it revived & refreshed! Beautiful papers!
Hi Nancy! The best ideas are always shared by other people and timeless. I like the letter idea as an insert. Maybe you will make another one again?😁
I saw this pattern a few years ago, and like you, loved it. I did make a minor change. Instead of flipping #3 around to the back, I had it fold to the front. So the "inside" of #3 became the front of the card. As long as the paper was double sided, it worked great - the colors coordinated, of course. I printed return labels (for a person's birthday) and tucked them into one of the pockets. The other pocket had a note from me. The front I decorated like I would any card. I loved making those. Thank you for reminding me of this pattern.

Watching this in August, my brain is working over time. I plan to use Christmas paper then attach gift cards to tags!!!! most of my grandkids are teens. This way they can do their own shopping! Thanks Robin! I can still personalize each card for each grandchild. I'm just tickled PINK!

Love your interactive pocket card idea. It can be used for a multitude of special occasions - Birthdays, Xmas, New Home, New Baby, Graduation, Congrats, Thank you, etc. The pockets can contain hidden messages, store gift cards, vouchers for shopping, movies, bowling, take aways, massage, beauticians, hairdressers, driving lessons, commemorative coins, photos, postal stamps, tea bags, recipes, jewellery, inspirational quotes, jokes, lottery & scatch card, tickets to events, iou babysitting, small childrens gifts, etc ... the list is endless. If they are crafters. Add washi or stickers etc. I did an easier lunch bag idea to fill with my used stamps n things I didn’t want to a friend that was just starting to make cards. I did about 15 bags and filled with like colors of items. Total fun time fir me to do !!!!
