@@VivaLaDirtLeague could be as simple as quest-related gripes that they bring up like a girlfriend does about every bloody thing that upsets
in torment tides of numenera they do. you even get an option to learn a game changing skill or defend the useless little orphan girl
the new follower could just hit in some side lines on the way^^ how about you never know how your day ends, then friends have to part...
Fred Orchardson and his healing apples. Brilliant, just brilliant
Dude Hamish is a legit good actor! Well done all and the burden carrying joke was perfect 😁
After that, he meets Britt and immediately drops Ben. And realizes that the stats are not the main thing
точняк, Бритт заруинила бы эту напыщенную замену хоббита своей красотой и акцентом
or until a hot patch day nerfing the pots to 5 min CDs and Regen healing rather than instant heals
This one was pure comedy. Absolutely great acting, story, camera work. All of it, this was hilariously Straight Perfection “Is that a stroke of commitment..”
When he flexes it just simply kills me every time!
2:50 the way Rowan strokes his beard just cracks me up 😂
Smth tells me this was not scripted lol
@@elli_senfsaat Yeah, was just going to say I'm guessing that was improvised, and Hamish went with it.
Everytime Hamish is in a skit he kills it!
My favorite!!! Amazing range
I feel like I just watched a villain origin story.
that happen but with other game if you leave your partner
(Poor terry hintz)
oh no. Not the Bandit King! 100% Chance of stealing your partner 🤣🤣
But you can take his blue hunting scarf out of his inventory 💪🏻
And probably lying about most of his stats. He is still a bandit after all.
Hamish should have hollered 'you know they're going to nerf that healing cooldown once you get used to it.'
For anyone that is interested the music in the end is
Grieg: Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Op. 46 - II. The Death Of Aase
Thank you, kind sir.
In the past few days, I binged the ENTIRE Epic NPC man series... It's what I first saw on your channel years back when it was still brand new, and it's absolutely amazing to see how it's grown over time. The dedication, the hilarity, the absolute acting talent... I can't overstate how much I enjoy this series and appreciate the sheer amount of effort it must take in maintaining the quality of each skit. It must be hard work, but also very fun, and it seems like you guys are living the dream! Thank you so much for nerding out with the world in the most entertaining of ways. Keep it up, you guys are amazing! Now I'm off to binge your other playlists in due time
I just went back and watched from the beginning, too! Such a good series.
We have the exact same story. Bored is going to make you cry at least twice. I want to move to New Zealand now.
I thought Rowan would be like “welcome to the team” but Ben would’ve been like “sorry three’s a crowd”, they’d argue about game logic and THEN Hamish would’ve been abandoned.
Great skit, very emotional and touching, loved the acting (and the music too), and this time the duet of Hamish and Rowan was just heartbreaking. :)
Just in case you wanted it, the music is Peer Gynt Suite No 1, Op 46, at about 5 mins in. :)
I feel like Ben would be a DLC follower for $10.99.
Ven*
he may just have 50 strength, but how he squashed that apple just by throwing it on the ground is a proof of his strength...
I was like... Why would they do that? And then I remembered that it's actually really hard to stomp an apple and you'd be just as likely to roll an ankle.
@@DanKaschel Yeah, but fruits slightly easier to stomp can have almonds in them, and you don't want to stomp it, break the almond and get poisoning effect with the cyanide !!! perhaps the healer will take his revenge by using the cyanide inside the apple seeds to poison the thief king.
It's so relatable, but it's a such a shame!!
I think this is the most love I've EVER seen Fred get from an adventurer! 🥺
Be funny in a followup video if the 'Bandit King' follower waited until he was full of stuff and just stole it all and vanished. He is a Bandit king.
Uhm, Lydia, man...you know we are a good team - but Vilkas gives Two Handed training for free. Farewell. It's not me, it's you.
I just have her living with my wife inn skyrim 🤣
Lydia: What, my free one handed training isn’t good enough?
What Lydia actually thinks: "Talos be praised, have someone else babysit this manchild."
ALL the trainers give training for free, just level your pickpocket skill.
My Lydia died at my first boss. I think she was even blasted off the cliff, I don't remember. I never played Skyrim's most iconic follower, lol. Instead, I hired then later married Jenassa. :P
There needs to be a part two where Fred has spent a great deal training, but no longer needs the hero.
3:29 someone give this man an Oscar - Emmy - whatever, just give him an award.
Hahaha, I wanna know if Ben had any issues saying "Venjamin Bandolier". Also, Hamish is SOOOOO good at scenes like these.
Hamish is so good period! I mean they all are great actors but Hamish is extra points, his interpetation of the villain is sooo hilariously
And then Rowan realizes he can have two companions in two more levels
I'd be careful there adventurer... as broken as he is, he is definitely going to either betray you or get killed off within the next 10 minutes
I love how you've been adding more and more different music into your videos, it really brings out the emotions even more! :D
And Hamish is absolutely smashing it, as always!
that was absolutely heartbreaking to watch, that's why I like games where you can upgrade your followers
I was totally waiting for Adam to walk up and Hamish to get really excited and then Alan pops out from a bush as his follower.
Honestly, with those unlimited elven healing potions, Venjamin Bandolier seems a bit OP.
Well, he was a boss fight in his prior skit. Maybe he's an end-game follower?
Without cooldown *
However, it cost gold each time to use, and charges per minute of combat
He'll get nerfed once enough grief-y whiners complain about him.
Might be unlimited with 0 cooldown to get into inventory. But then cooldown on usage.
Telling my gf, "It's not you. It's your stats."
I love Edward Grieg's Death of Aase playing in the background, it really adds to the situation, making it comedic and kinda sad at the same time, which is hard to achieve.
BTW if you haven't played a game called "The Plan" (Free on Steam), play it right now - features the same piece, duration ~ 5 minutes.
Thanks for this comment, I was sure that I've heard this piece before but didn't know what it was.
We need him to return as a Dark Lord or smth like that in a later episode seeking revenge unto the glorious adventurer
That would make an interesting idea for secret endings. Different final bosses depending on which follower you discard during playthrough
“Your rejection has caused my apples to sour and become poison!” Every time he began casting his special, you’d hear “you like apples?” Then upon hit, “how you like them apples?!”
@@stineberg8795 "Here, adventurer, EAT MY APPLES! Just like the old days, eh, MY DEAR FRIEND?!?"
And then Venjamin betrays you at the end of act 3, and Fred sacrifices himself to save you. Leaving you completely alone with your thoughts of guilt and grief.
Wow! That was insanely well done, goosebumps! Feels like the choice between a better follower choice in-game, only to find out after playing the game, the healer would’ve boosted because of your decision to keep him
“I am *sworn* to carry your burdens!”
-Lydia, annoyed.
Lost his worldly possessions, his wife, his children, his fruit stall after he couldn’t afford to keep it, the last bit of his savings, and now his dignity...... he’s gonna break soon.
On a side note this is also a perfect parody of every relationship in real life as well.
I like how even in the follower portraits, Fred was looking like "wtf?" in Venjamin's portrait's direction, as he looks off into the distance where he'll be going with Adventurer.
Viva La Dirt League. The first and only channel I’ve ever ticked the bell for.
Much love, guys. Keep it up, your series’ keep me laughing!
The background song is from the Peer Gynt suite, "Ase's death" by Edvard Grieg. The whole suite is fantastic, and you'd probably recognize several of the songs without realizing where they are from.
Thank you very much for this, I knew I heard it somewhere, but couldn't place it.
its also definetly in civ V, if people are wondering where they may have heard it before
Ben's soulless grin and robotic neck turns really add a lot to this one
2:03 no cool down, well that’s gonna be nerfed when they update the game.
YES! I wanted more of Hamish as the downtrodden fruit vendor and you delivered!
2:51
I can't imagine how many times this scene has been redone.
Especially seeing Hamish laughing in the last frame XD
Not really a laugh though. More like a desperate commitment seeking chuckle of sorts.
He's in disbelief.
Hamish is too good. It was probably a single take. He's a pro
I think that it's time for another Epic NPC Man movie, or a serialized series. You're production level is getting better with each short, the cast is great and there are so many wonderful recurring characters that I would love to see them progress and interact with each other even more.
