    The journey begins at the Palomarin Trailhead, nestled along the picturesque Point Reyes National Seashore in California. As we set foot on the trail, we are immediately surrounded by towering trees, vibrant wildflowers, and the invigorating scent of the ocean breeze.
    The hike to Alamere Falls is a moderate trek, offering a perfect blend of natural wonders and physical activity. The trail meanders through diverse landscapes, including shaded forests, coastal cliffs, and open meadows, offering breathtaking panoramic views at every turn.
    As we hike closer to our destination, the sound of rushing water grows louder, building anticipation for the grand finale. Suddenly, Alamere Falls comes into view, a magnificent sight to behold.     The hike from Palomarin trailhead is about 14 miles round trip via Wildcat Camp. There is shortcut (about 2 miles less) to the falls. You make a left into a narrow opening (entrance) about 5 miles from the trailhead. There are also narrow passages along the way (see video) surrounded by bushes with Poison Oaks and 2 steep descents going down to the beach - which can be difficult and dangerous if you are not in good shape.
    The falls is 14 miles round trip via Wildcat Camp hiking through the shoreline with no steep cliffs.
    The trail is beautiful with lots of wildflowers, ocean views, nature and landscape scenery along the way. Bass Lake is accessible and a good side trip during summer time.
    For an average hiker, it will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to get to the falls from Palomarin Trailhead.
    Difficulty: Moderate
    Important Tips:
    - Arrive early in the morning. The parking gets filled up fast.
    - Bring enough fluids (2-3 liters) and food with you.
    - There are Poison Oaks along the trail. Wear pants and long sleeve shirts.

      Thank you! Not sure whether drones are allowed over Alamere Falls, honestly but I've seen drones flying there.

    Thanks for the useful info.How long does it take to complete the trail? Is it kids friendly? What is the best the in the year to cover this water fall and point Reyes?

      About 6-7 hours round trip. I've seen a couple of children on the trail. Winter and Spring I think is a good time to see Alamere falls.

      Round trip is 14 miles. The short cut is about 2 miles less (12 miles total).
