Great Video John, I followed your Bolton engine build on one of the forums, very impressive, !! I am about to enter the home machine shop journey soon, (after about 20 years since my last machining efforts) I am F&T from way back, completed my apprenticeship in Geelong, International Harvesters mid seventies. I have been returning my shed from a storage shed, back to a usable workshop space, I am lucky, I have a large area. Brought a lathe and mill, waiting for delivery .
That’s fantastic Gary. It’s such a great hobby. So many projects and so little time! I am impressed you saw my build log. I don’t think many saw that. When I get the boiler done I will finally be able to see how it goes on steam. I am looking forward to that one day not too far in the future. I also put a few photos on instagram if you are interested. @creaseyjohn
Hello John, Nice work... I like that your setup allowed you to mill three faces without having to move anything.... See you in the next one... Take care. Paul,,
It’s a noname import. I like it but I had to grind it into square as it was pretty bad when I got it. They are pretty easy to fix if you have access to a surface grinder.
Herpetology spoiler alert John, I reckon that is a Australian Water Dragon not a Gecko mate. Gecko's haven't got claws on their toes and tend to be nocturnal. Cheers Eric
Yes you are correct and not the first to point it out. We are so lucky to see such beautiful creatures. We get the odd snake in the backyard too. None inside thank goodness!
Good to have you back John 👍 🇬🇧
It's good to see you back john !!! Nice work as ever☺ hello from France !

Nice work John. Castings seem to be a unique machining challenge. Not only the work holding but what not to machine. Enjoyed watching you work.

Did the lizard report that switching to Geico could save you 15% on car insurance?
No, he was with NRMA.
