Hey lovelies!
I've recently found a lot of misinformation online about a number of things, and one of my passions is to make sure that you guys are the most well-informed K-beauty online community - without all the political correctness and sly sponsored reviews and marketing. It can be hard to see past the hype of some products sometimes! I don't know everything, but I hope what I can share with you guys in these two videos will help you guys to be better informed consumers ;) We only have one skin so let's take care of it! 😘💓
Watch Part 2: • HYPED-UP KOREAN BEAUTY...
Please remember these include my personal opinions, so they may differ from your thoughts. I don't mean to offend or criticise but to simply inform with my own experiences of the products in hopes that it helps you guys be better informed consumers :) Everyone has different skin types and needs so please be sure to make your own informed view before reading a blogpost or watching a video (even mine) and accepting everything you may read or hear. One thing I also wanted to remind you guys - sometimes you don't know whether media articles hyping up a product has been sponsored or not. (Same with blogposts.)
Like I always say, it's always best to trial on yourself for the most accurate opinion!
Don't forget to like, comment and subscribeee ;)
What other products are you curious about and want me to review?
Love always,
Jen xo

Not a sponsored video. All opinions and content in this video are my 100% honest thoughts. Some of the links above may be affiliate links. Thanks always for your love and support musers! :)
I've heard a rumour that some brands might electrically zap the snails a bit to get them to produce more mucin, but I know that COSrx let their snails naturally produce their mucin for their products so if you want the most animal-friendly snail products get COSrx! (also their products are THE BOMB!) Loved this video as always Jen, and I'd love to see the makeup haul with the reviews as well! (:
When you say zapped, do you mean painful zaps or just stimulating? You know, such as when people use a TENS unit to stimulate their muscles for strength or reduce pain.
+Amy He I think it's like small shocks, kind of like a static zap to us. When they collect the mucin, I believe they place snails on a wire grid and as they crawl over it, they might send out little shocks to make them produce more, but I'm not too sure
+Jess Y Ooki thanks!
The moment you said you don't recommend clean it zero, I inmediately removed it from my eBay shopping cart👏🏼 I trust so much in your opinions❤️❤️❤️
What do you think? Are they worth the hype? ;)
PART TWO: th-cam.com/video/qZ3IPXrKqJE/w-d-xo.html
The intro is awesome!!
Thank you so much for this video Jen! T'was very helpful! I was thinking of trying the April Skin cushion but I'm content with my Laneige pore control cushion for now. God bless you more! :) 👄👄😊👼👼
your reviews are always so so helpful!! thank u so much for making these kind of videos 😽
What lip product did you wear in this video?
Hi Jen! Could you also let us see what you're wearing? I love the top are are wearing in this video. Is your top sold online? :p
i like how you really care about your content! really genuine :)
Thank you so much! ❤️
Love the video! Could you perhaps do a video on alternatives to the hyped up products? Like products that perform just as well or better than the hyped up products
yeah
yeah would really love that
They're already affordable... Any products that are similar or are dupes would only be more expensive for how eFfective these products are. They're probably the most effective so I wouldn't want to try a "similar" product
Hey Jen!
I bought the April skin cushion the black "matte" version for myself recently and found myself liking it a lot. I've discovered that if you use a different bb cushion puff (for e.g. I switch up between my laniege and etude house puffs since I've tried those bb cushions before), it makes a difference to how the formula works on your skin. With the puff given in April Skin, it has a very dewy finish and looks/feels quite thick but with different air puffs it feels like I'm only wearing a light layer of makeup and instead of it being so full coverage that I have to blend it out, it becomes coverage that is buildable to full. I have acne prone skin that is also combination (yay not) and this cushion covers and also nourishes my skin while wearing it.
Just thought this would be an interesting point to address when you make your bb cushions review because I'm sure others would be curious about this also. I hope you read this and I love your videos so much!! I've always watched your reviews and have become a Korean cosmetic addict myself.
Your shoulders are so gorgeous T T I'm so glad you did this video ~~ I'm really behind on makeup hypes... XD
NamiiCho i thought i was the only one who notices shoulders and collar bones lol
The part I like the most is you sharing ur insight about Korean cushion industry, expecting more about ur in depth knowledges about Korean beauty like that! Thank you for sharing
Yay! I love it when you give us honest opinions, especially the critical ones, since it is really hard for me to find videos pointing out some concerns of using a certain product. Instead, reviewers usually promote something, which is great, but then they don't mention a single negative aspect about that product and only review the positives. So thank you so much and I'd love to see more of these :D
i really like the banila.co but i do agree that it gets into our eyes easily and leaving them blurry. but beside that, everything seems good ☺
I really love how you review different beauty products based on your own personal opinion! I really appreciate that! :)
these reviews are soo accurate especially your opinion on the banila co cleansing balm! i used it for a couple months and noticed a long-term "greasy film" effect on my skin. always trustworthy and informative
your videos are always my favourite bcs you always always always give us your most honest opinions on products and try to do your research as best as you can before letting us know. and i love that your personality shines through the videos too :) love you jenn!
Love this sort of reviews than haul video. Much more informative. Love your comparison as well, and really appreciate the subtitles/additional info you give in the videos with the ingredients (on alcohol, scent and parabens) . Would love to see like a "Top 10 Korean Skin Care / Makeup recommendations for sensitive skin kind of video :D
I always want beauty reviews MJ. I am addicted. Particularly makeup that is incredibly different and function compared to westernised makeup. There is so much out there that Im sure I dont know of!
I love hearing your honest opinions on these products. I really trust your integrity!
These are so helpful! I love your reviews because I know you're always honest and you don't put money before honesty. Your passion for God is great! Thanks for being such a great you tuber :)
Banila Co Clean It Zero is great for removing makeup, like you mentioned. I like it a lot as it is moisturizing and use it when I travel. As soon as I get home, I put it on all over my face, wash it off and then use another cleanser afterwards. It is very oily and heavy. You are so right. Thanks for the video!
I really appreciate these videos!! PLEASE keep doing them! I'm sensitive to fragrance as well and want more natural ingredients in my k beauty products. these videos have been incredibly helpful in me finding the right products for my skin
Omg Jen!!! You did it again! Another amazing, informative video! I feel as though you keep getting better, and I love the fact that you went in deep to explain why you liked it and why you didn't, and the fact that you included alternatives 😍 thank youuuuuuu!
This is sooooooo helpful, thank you! I love how you recommend other products to choose instead of the ones that aren't worth the hype, really awesome!
Ugh your theme in the beginning is SO cute !! Always love watching all your informative helpful videos !!
:')
I love this kind of videos! Outside of Korea I just discover the most famous products and most of them seem cool so I am glad to have a specific opinion on the matter!
Great video! I have always had a passion for Korean beauty products. I would love to see a video of you showing some popular Korean products and recommending some dupes that are easily available to people in the UK and US. Thanks 💜 xx
omg i thought the same thing about banila co clean it zero! i was so excited to try it, but it really just functioned as any other cleansing balm and i wasn't sold on the heavy fragrance. thanks for the dupe recommendation and your honesty!
Jen I totally agree with you about the Banilla Co Clean It Zero!! It makes me so relieved to hear I'm not the only one that's not that impressed with it. It makes my eyes sting and it leaves behind a layer of residue on my skin after I rinse...although I always do double cleanse. I know that Banilla Co makes a Clean It Zero without parabens (the Purity version), but I much prefer the Boscia Cool Cleansing Oil. Thanks for your honest reviews!!
Always love your review so honest and so clear! love you jen
HUGE HUGS BACK! 😙🙆❤️
This video, as with all your product review videos, was so helpful!! I've really come to value your opinion and would look forward to more videos like this one! I especially loved how you described snails doing their "thang." The sound effects are so spot on, hilarious. xD Thank you for always working so hard and putting in 110% effort to give us thorough reviews!
I like the fact that you put so much effort in your videos. I watch all of them. ;)
I'd love to see a video of all snail products compared and ranked against one another :D
So curious to know what's the best for different skin types (oily, dry, sensitive etc.)
I love that you do this video. I can get a review of the product specially from you because you cannot rely on marketing because it will just tell you all the pros and not the cons. Thank you :)
More of these please! I absolutely love your Kbeauty review videos! Also yes to mini reviews 💕
your hair looks so cute! can't stop looking at it.
Thank you so much for talking about April skin! I was nodding my head on every point you mentioned!! I personally bought it because of the hype and was so disappointed because of all the points you said. Thanks so much for saying what I wanted to say about the product 💓 haha
Yay for two videos a day!!! Hope you feel better soon unni! 💪😊
I really like these kind of videos because they debunk the hype and are very similar to those 'disappointing product' videos out there. Also, I was hoping that you'd go deeper into the Cushion story about how these companies 'buy' the formula from Amore and stamp their names on it, etc.
we had the snail cream hype in Chile back in like 2003-2004(?) maybe? like more than 10 years ago! I remember the local ads saying these creams were good for wrinkles and skin in general because of its regeneration properties. It was also good for scars or good for helping in cicatrization process. They are mainly handmade and sold in "traditionals" stands on streets or local "natural-ish" drugstores.
Oh gosh i'm so early it's odd?? but ahh i'm so excited! 16+ minutes w/ jen AND another vid is a great way to spend my friday, lol
I just watched you guys live ❤️ you people are so down to earth and genuine, thank you for that !
I love my snail face cream. I've always had an issue with dry skin on my face, but I haven't noticed any dry skin since I started using the snail cream. And it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all, which is great, because a lot of things tend to break me out. 😊
Which products do you use? I consider to buy some too
it can be an hour long and i will watch it jen.love you 🔥💝
Love you
me too.. it worth it!
Jen, you look super cute in this video AHHH! I hope you can do a apartment tour and drugstore makeup tutorial soon! Love you~~
I'm so glad I found you on TH-cam!! I'm getting into K-Beauty and you're perfect and informative 💕
Thank you for your honest reviews and opinion!! I was actually planning to purchase some of these items when I go to Korea next week. So glad I saw this video first :)

Viva0325 I think you are a Indian I'm right or not 🤔
Amazing in depth review Jen! 👍🏼 A for effort! Enjoyed the entire process of watching you get into the details and explanation😍
So so so excited for this video!!! I love your videos on Korean makeup! :)
Thank you Jen! I love this video! I have the same feeling of using Clean It Zero as you feel! I am really excited that there is better product coming! Looking forward to try it! ❤️❤️❤️
your makeup is so so pretty in this video! 💣
love love love ur honest reviews! one of the reasons why im an avid fan!
unnie i've missed you so much! i really trust your opinion alot so thank you so much for uploading this 😸
hahah omg the sound you added when you were talking about the snails, so funny xD
I love your honesty. These videos are super helpful!
Hi Jen thanks for the review! It is ok to have different opinion as the public, we appreciate u giving ur true opinion regardless of what other people think
I like the Banila Co clean it zero, but not as a makeup remover oil cleanser. At night I prefer the Tatcha Oil cleanser, it does an amazing job of cleaning off my makeup and prepping my skin for my second cleanse. But I double cleanse in the morning because its so humid here and my face gets very oily at night so I like to use the Banila Co as my first cleanse in the morning to remove the excess oil.
I'm super agree with the banilla co one. It leaves a oily residue on my face too and it made my eyes all red and sensitive after using it. There are many other cleansing products in the market that are better than clean it zero. I recommend Bifesta cleansing water!!!
jen!!! i always love your hair!! please do a video on a couple of your favorite hair styles! love you chica!
Your review is SUPER helpful (especially for Europeans for whom it's not just doing to the nearest store but who have to dig and dig through the internet to get their hands on korean products and are wondering if they are really worth all the fuss) and i'd say very objective. Thanks from Poland :)
subbed immediately when i saw the intro! it's so cute!!
Can't stop looking at your dimple when you smile! You're really pretty! 💕
If you have oily but dehydrated skin, the Sorbet cleansing balm (in a blue tub with a white cap) from Tony Moly is really good because it will really hydrate your skin, but it won't leave you feeling greasy. You can find it on Amazon, but if you're a regular at their stores like me then it's better to must go in.
I love it! Thx for putting so much efforts to make this video. As usual you look beautiful Unnie! ILY! 😍😘❤️
Jennnn you look so flawless omg
Hi Jen! I love your overall look on this vid! 💕 You look absolutely lovely! As always, thank you for your honest and witty review. It is really helpful ☺️
I have been waiting patiently for this... love u Jen💓
I bought the April Skin Magic Snow Cushion (Black) cos of the hype and I totally agree with what Jen has mentioned. I have sensitive skin with acne marks so I need something with somewhat high coverage to cover up my blemishes. The cushion really does a good job in covering my pigmentations but like what Jen said, the formula is quite heavy and it just sits? on my skin after application so it transfers rather easily. And I have no idea if it is due to the ingredients or the fragrance, it broke my skin out sadly :( The cushion is a no-go for me and my skin type. Just my 2cents and sharing my exp with the cushion!! Loved watching your vid Jen :D
Thank you so much for these reviews Jen! They are super helpful ♥️
Thank you soooo much Jen! Your review was so sincere and you always think about important stuff that is good to know about the products that you talk about. Those tiny info messages that was written down below in the video - so good to know about :)!
Got my Banila Co Clean it zero 2 days ago and I agree with you totally. All reviews I´ve read etc has been allover good and hyped up but I got so disappointed when I tried it :/ First I thought that I did something wrong so I started to read lots about it and then you posted this video today. It does its job BUT the feeling afterwards is...Hmmm well not what I hoped for. And yes double cleanse is a must with this one. Still I feel a strange texture or something afterwards.. Dont like that :/ dont want my pores to be clogged with it.
Omgosh hahah I love your videos and it's so true about April skin care, I think I bought it once and tried it and returned it. Also with the soap part haha that was funny with the face expression. Thanks for your awesome review!
I always love seeing when you upload!
I love the Clean it Zero. My favorite makeup remover. At first, I really liked April Skin (Black) and the CC Cushion. Despite having good coverage, it broke me out on areas that I never broke out before like my cheeks and jawline. I stopped using them for awhile and I switched back to my Espoir BB cushion. No red bumps. I'm surprised because I don't break out that easily. From what I know I haven't see many people break out from it, or did anyone have this problem?
I'm working on clearing my skin from it. Finally the acne stop but i'm left with scarring. So, I bought snail solution cleanser and tea tree masks and so far it's working for me. (:
love this. very informative!! you should keep doing videos like this
The stone soap! I think filmy is the easiest way to explain that feeling :) it leaves a weird film kind of tight feeling
Thank you for enlightening me about the fact that there isn't animal cruelty because for me that's really important and now I can buy the products without having to search about it all the time, thank you ^^
love this type of video! super curious about the few you mentioned. thanks for doing it!
Hahaha your snail explanation so cute!! when you poke their eyes and if you step on them they die and stuff. You're so cute!!!
Yay!! Glad you did this!! It was a little silly that you had to keep telling us it was just your opinion. Of course it is girl!! I'm not gonna be butthurt because you didn't like a product that I like!!! ;) difference skin and preference and what not!! Lots of love! 😘
Can't wait for the cushion video because I'm not sure if I understood correctly that all Korean cushions are made in the same place because they're all owned by amore pacific? Yey yay for cruelty free too! Thank you for sharing all if this wonderful info. ☺️
With the Banila Co. cleanser, I'd recommend washing off with warmer water rather than colder.
I really like this! Would be great if you could do a series :)
I love the intro video! :D
thank you for the awesome videos as always jen ♡
Can we get an updated version of this please! Loved this video!!
Hi Jen!!! Can you recommend products for cleansing pores, tightening pores, blackheads and organic korean skincare products? Are there certified organic products in korea? Thank you! I love you and your videos!
jennn, there's a lot of new collabsss.
the face shop x disney, missha x minions. can u please review them all pls? XD
They're so cute 😭😭 The Faceshop Ink Sticks(? Forgot the name... The lipsticks with Mickey Mouse ears) are amazing! Super long lasting and really nice colours 😍 Not sure about much else though, sorry!
+Emilia ikrrr so cute i wanna buy all of them 😭😭😭 nooo its ok, im really curious abt the lip products too! thankyouuu ❤❤❤
+evelind pj Haha it is really tempting to buy them all!
I was a bit vague earlier so I'll go over what I've got again. I have the Ink Gel Stick in Red Pants (RD03), which is amazing 😍, it's long lasting, and sits well on the lips too. A bit expensive though, at ₩13,000. I've also got the Watery Tiny in Red Cherry (05), which is a lovely colour, and cheaper (₩4,500), but you've got to be careful not to be too liberal with it, let it dry without transferring it around the lips, and make sure you don't have chapped lips! Other wise it looks odd 😐 Oh, and it tastes gross 😂 I still love it though!
As for other things, and the Cushion foundations have adorable packaging, but just the normal formula - not too special - but the eyeshadow compacts are so, so cute 😍 If you remember Jen featured a Line Friends pallet in a previous video - they're just like that, with maybe 8 eye shadows? The packaging is really nice too, but again they're expensive so... It's a nice range of items though!
Most of those collabs are just their products repackaged. Just letting you know lol
+gomez thaliatk ikrrr :((( but its sooo freaking cute like omgggg i have to have thoseeeee :(((
Hi +meejmuse ! :)
Thank you so much for sharing information with us!! I love your videos!!!
This is a very informative short and sweet video!
I would love to see the haul video and cushion video tooo and maybe a video of Lip makeup and lip care products! 🙆🏻🙆🏻
Thank you Jen unnie for this amazing video! Got the info i needed to decide. Love lots! 😍
You're too nice to say those things even though some products are not that good... XOXO Jen!!!
April skinnnnnnnn, seeing it all on FB & I've been so curious omg
Thank you Eonni for your honest reviews! 😘
Yaaassss snails!! Snail products are some of my faves!
I personally like the banila co cleanser 😍
Sadly it contains parebens
+J Lt parabens
Banila co. has a Purity version (green packaging, for sensitive skin) which is free of paraben, fragrance, and mineral oil. I really like that one!
+もっち proof?
Parabens have been used for decades without any problems. Decades of research on them. Nothing has actually been proven to show that they aren't safe, people just believe the fear mongering (like the whole gluten thing---yes, some people have an allergy to gluten but it doesn't need to be cut out by everyone). The issue is that the things companies are using instead of parabens haven't been tested as well or used as long so they're not necessarily more safe. It's very interesting to read about. Parabens are cheap and safe, but companies can use something else and charge more just because it says "paraben free". People have been brain washed, honestly.
I love this please keep up this awesome series 😊😙💐
i love this video. thank you SO much! will watch part 2 next!
i really like your videos especially this one,i get to know a lot of pros and cons of the product.thank you ♡♡♡
thanks for the info specially on the patent for bb cushions... it definitely made sense... you're always very helpful.
gonna try the Heimish cleansing balm!!
love the video onnie, so detailed
Your hairstyle is really pretty!! :D
Can you do a video about paraben and fragrance free Korean beauty/skin care products? I've been looking around but it's SO difficult to find something that I can actually use.
You should try Palmer's Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil. It deep cleans and removes make-up and impurities. It is made with grape seed, jojoba, and rose hip oils, and has vitamin C. It also does not contain mineral oil, parabens, and phthalates. I find it works great on my skin and it really does remove all the dirt and makeup. I bought mine for $5 and change at Harmons, a beauty supply store.
Please do a tutorial on your hairstyle 💁 that bun looks so cute 😍
