I love your shop. I've been a blade and swordsmith since the 1980s. And you are right a good blade will last for generations. It seems like yesterday that I was a kid just starting out. And now I'm Fifty years old still doing what I love. Awesome work brother.
I'm a culinary student who collects culinary knives (as well as use them) I treat each knife with respect of the blacksmith who made it. I take care of them so well, that they look brand new every time I take it out of my knife roll despite having been used quite often. These knives are beautiful and would love to own one for my collection.
funny, I remember Arnon wearing them during most of the filming, but I guess I was focusing more on what he was doing at the moment. You'll see him with protective ear-wear at 4:58 and again at 5:09. Granted, he didn't wear them throughout, but I sure wore the set he gave me! I'm with you - protecting your ears is important.
Hmm, and an extra 23 seconds to leave a smartass comment ;) Besides the fact that the website is pretty bland, I'm more interested in pricing. Can you direct me to that, or will you try to imply that I'm lazy again?
Wow.. this guy really over-glorifies what blacksmiths do. I'm a smith but it's really not such a hard job and you don't need to have THAT much talent. And I don't think of "deep thoughts" when waiting for my workpieces to get hot. LOL
he told the truth dumb ass and that's all that matters. his thoughts as he's waiting for x,y,7, are his & all he gave was an example of what might be going on in the mind of a man like you while waiting... the details of what he tried to convey aren't the easiest thing to do. isn't that why the veteran smiths are still so highly sought after & praised. sounds more like you are over simplifying what he said imho. not to mention the fact that you very well may not have the same training background as he has. training in japan with any recognized sword maker is a big deal and you know that. maybe you should tone down your envy/stupidity.
You show so ungracefully the difference between an artisan who really cares about what he or she is making and you... a person who doesn't appear to care much at all. Your family must be so proud of you.

Where can i buy one of these knives??
Where can I find these knives? I've been looking for a good kitchen knife that isn't mass produced. Professional cooks need tools like these!
Took 3 seconds to look on info and find a link.
