Carey and Zoe are astounding actresses in their own right, but strangely enough, it was the supporting roles by Ehle and Morton that grabbed me. Just a phenomenal ensemble.
It's next-to-impossible to believe that this most severe level of abuse has happened in the world for far too long. I'm so proud of everybody who is courageously helping to finally bring it all to an end.
@@thebodiescannotveto So true (happened to me). I was so happy with the "Me Too Movement" bc it gave sooooooooooooooo many women a voice, unfortunately like most movements it was soon corrupted by political correctness & fear that inhibited & sometimes removed altogether an accused's (mostly male & sometimes female) right to due process.
As someone who’s experienced harassment that eventually turned into sexual assault…even if you say “NO…” they won’t take no for an answer, they threaten you with getting you sacked/fired…I was made to believe it was my own fault (he was my boss) who bought ‘shame’ to the company…he quit after he was caught & we was never protected…the police knew he did it but couldn’t arrest him due to lack of evidence, I was the only one who came forward to the police…he did it to 3/4 other women…he still thinks he’s innocent but he’s not….
Samantha is unbelievable here! Such a magnificent presence!😳👏
She was so great in Whale as well with her only one scene!

Sadly, it’s less impossible for women to believe.

I think that in this relatively small role, Samantha Morton stole the movie. She is absolutely riveting.
So true. Her simmering rage is exactly what the film needs, and she's utterly incapable of hitting a false note.
THANK YOU, movie clips!!!
