The final look you had on for the most of your speaking - you looked almost sun kissed, but "later on that evening" vs "right out of the sun" - the colors on you are perfection. By far BEST review of Westman Atelier… and this look is to DIE FOR.. this is exactly how I want my daily makeup look to be. I also have allergies to 6 different metals and am allergic to all things processed so the clean aspect of the ingredients makes me happy. I’m all about coconut 🥥 oil. The skin just looks so healthy and fresh and was achieved so easily. I know it’s expensive but for me personally, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be worth it. I want all the products lol. I might need to sell my one of my kidneys to afford them but yeah. Great video! Thanks a lot!

    Thank you for another articulate, informative video. I recently purchased Poppet, Bichette (which I plan of using to give me a subtle hint of a faux sunburn effect going across my cheeks and nose), and Peau de Peche. I bought these items since I love luxury beauty and appreciated the aesthetic they would give me. I don’t view my other products as “dirty”, and there are times that I am conflicted in buying from green brands as I don’t agree with the fear mongering and false information that can be part of their marketing.

    OK frenzz! When Westman Atelier dropped at Sephora I decided to expand my collection so I bout the brulee lit up stick....to use as a glowy bronzer. If anyone is wondering, yes, it is beautiful as a glowy bronzer!!!!!! For reference I am the shade 150 Lace in the Shiseido, Aura in the Chantecaille Future Skin, Yukon in all the Nars foundations, Ivory Rose in Tom Ford.........so basically the literal pink shades (those are my no tan shades) so if you're of the lighter persuasion with or without a tan and you love a glowy bronzer, it works beautifully!

  • @ColleenOfTheLame
    @ColleenOfTheLame 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I also jumped on some of these products when I saw Sephora had them. I got the foundation stick, the contour stick and a blush. I like them so far! I too am not a fan of the fear-mongering that goes along with some of the clean beauty advertising - it was nice to hear you articulate the difference between "these ingredients are good" and "THOSE ingredients will give you cancer" and I wish people would cut it out with the latter!

  • @mmt2667
    @mmt2667 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Thank you for the detailed review! Everything looked so lovely and natural. I have tried out the foundation stick, and while I do prefer the Tom Ford one for longevity on my oily skin, I will say that the Westman Atelier one faded gracefully. Maybe because it's so sheer and skin-like to start with that even when it started to wear off, it wasn't terribly obvious unless I got really close up to a mirror.
    P.S. (b/c I know how you're into pronunciation) the -er in NetaPorter is pronounced like the letter A, just like in atelier. It's a play on pret-a-porter, which is French for ready to wear. So clever since they're an online retailer selling ready to wear.

    Looking at my old school RCMA and French Il Macquiage cream foundations that only have like three ingredients, 100 shades, and cost a fraction of the price of these with new found love...Good to see you using your Kiyaki brushes. I've been using the mini base non-stop since I got it...

  • @agataloca

  • @linzeeb4

    I so appreciate you, Alicia! I totally agree that the "clean" label means nothing and is just a marketing umbrella term that encourages fear mongering. That said, I actually own quite a few products from "clean" brands because I'm allergic to dimethicone. I do at least respect the brands who take the time to say exactly what they mean by "clean." But now I'm also checking for that Tom Ford stick foundation!

    WA contour in Biscuit is the first contour I’ve ever liked and used up. The two blushes in Petal (neutral pink) and Cochette (neutral peach) are exquisite. The formula is amazing. I also love the foundation (used only where needed) and the lip palette is wonderful for the customizable looks. Didn’t like the eye pods. I found them hard to work with, little color payoff, and needed to be set with something else to have them last at all, which is typically not a problem for me. I will not repurchase Peau de Peche and Peau de Rose. They are okay, but too shiny. Not crazy about the blue shift in Lit, but may try the new Nectar.

    omg, i don't care about the "green" and i think originally the idea was that the product would be refillable in the beautiful containers, but YOUR COMPLEXION looks so beautiful in this video. I am sold based on that alone. Luckily, one could get by with the foundation and blush, if one had to keep things rea$onable. If you stopped there, you look amazing. I really enjoy the items you chose and have amassed quite a collection now of the blushes. I need to try the bronzer still. For me, the foundation stick works really well and I love it a lot but the biggest draw is that it is a great color match for me which is always a challenge! This annoys me so much with clean beauty - the addition of fragrance and the shade range. Sephora did a new black owned clean beauty brand called LYS Beauty. I’m not into the whole “clean beauty” narrative anymore but I can appreciate these types of brands more when they actually create products with a more inclusive shade range. Thanks for the thorough review!

    • @honorthyparents8510
      @honorthyparents8510 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Sometimes to make a high quality product that is long lasting you need to use that old fashioned chemical stuff... if people want 100% clean they need to do things the ancient way with fruits and vegetables and henna and kohl and be satisfied with what they have even though its limited, oh well... Can't have everything in one product and have it be super clean, just cant..people are just never satisfied and way too demanding.

    When I finish my Salt NY pan of cream bronzer (the shade is too light for me, which I think is hilarious), Danessa is up next. But for a contour or even a brontour the lightest shade isn't gray enough for my preferences. Since I'm an absolute blush lunatic, I like the greyer tones to give me sculpt but not compete with the blush. But I also have full on cream bronzer days. I really like Petal of the WA blushes, which I bought because dusty pink is not really a thing I own (except in like 5 pans of Natasha shadow), but it isn't dusty at all but more pinky brown and gives me Em Magic Hour/Tower 28 (I think still magic hour) vibes. I like how the blushes layer, either as a base for another cream blush or over powder. Debating my next cream contour life choice, whether to reup on WA or try something else. Hmmm

    “Dissertation” 🤣 I completely agree with the clean beauty wording, should tell me what’s in it, what’s not. I love their cheek sticks and I love a good cream product! I do believe they are the luxury version of Glossier, meant for nominal makeup wearers that have good skin to begin with.

    Such a thorough video on all the WA products. I think you purchased the best of all her products. Just wanted you to know they just came out with a darker all over buttery bronzer and they will be coming out with reusable packaging but no idea when. And yes opening those compacts can be a b...tch...lol

    I think the soft pink look is so, so pretty on you. Only products I have from this line are blushes in Dou Dou and Bichette. They are stunning. My favorite blushes ever and I have never liked cream blush! I can be sensitive coconut oil but these don’t bother me.

    Wow, what a thorough review; that was great. This is the first video of yours that I have ever seen so I will have to check out more. I have a foundation and blush stick which are now 12 months old and both still perform well, haven’t gone bad, plus I have the eye shadows. I do feel I have to buff the foundation into my skin more than Gucci does otherwise it tends to sit on top and take too long to mesh with my skin, it is buildable though. The blush is fab, the eyeshadows give a wash of colour. I am in my fifties and find the products to work really well on a more mature skin where less is more and I love the packaging so much that I’m happy to pay the hefty price for it. Thank you for your demos of her new products too, much appreciated.

    Thank you for mentioning that the bronzer has talc and that the highlighter has fragrance. I don’t understand how any brand can claim to be clean when it has talc.

      Absolutely! And the qualifier "cosmetic talc" means nothing without proper oversight.

    Wow! Great review. Agree about the contour. I have light skin with a very slight warm peach.undertone. I can get away with biscuit but would like something a little warmer. All said, I do like her face products. I was gifted her eye pods. Those just were not for me. Oh, I do find the Tom Ford stick foundation to be much longer lasting on my skin. I have to add, you always look amazing. And, you’re still my husband’s you tube crush! ☺️😘❤️

    I put off watching this because I was afraid I'd want to buy the blush and I was right to be afraid. Fortunately, the line isn't available at Sephora Canada. As usual, you look beautiful. That blush is perfection.

    Westman atelier brand over view is more informative, thank you for sharing your brief thoughts about this brand ,I am impressed with all the products you've shown in this video ,the price is high but the products are vegan so I can splurge some money on this brand looking forward to get the foundation stick,highlighter,blush stick ,cream bronzer, I always getting the vibe that the collections of merit brand is similar to westman atelier brand ,what is your opinion? thank you once again dear🤗🤗🤗

    As you, I don't care about the so called "cleanliness" that everyone is on about now. What fascinates me about your look is that it's so natural and exactly how I believe makeup was intended to look in the beginning of time - Top Class, Ten Points✌

    No shade. Have you ever considered shaving your cheeks? I am super hairy and thought someone was crazy when they told me they shave their face. But as soon as I started doing it. Any break outs I use to get monthly or sporadically for whatever reason just STOPPED ALL TOGETHER. my skin has been pimple free for at least a couple of years now and my overall skin tone looks better. Shaving my face has really improved my skin and is suppose to be a anti aging secret for women. I don’t wax because it breaks me out but shaving has been a god send addition to my beauty routine. Just don’t touch your sideburns they are so so so cute. And look beautiful 😻

      I have! I think I need to learn how to do it, and be consistent about it. Do you also use tretinoin or other acid treatments? And if so, how does your skin feel?

    Love the foundation stick! I use VIII as colour corrector for my under eye area and V in the centre of my face. I find V goes a bit darker 30 mins after application and it suits me perfectly. For reference, I use mama Pat's foundation in 14.

    I have to say I was pretty skeptical of the "skin benefits" of the foundation stick but I can honestly say my skin looks better at the end of the day after i remove it than that morning before I put it on. Even my husband made a comment about it. I'm pretty sold on her products.

    Wonderfully detailed and objective review, congrats. While I have and love Kjaer Weiss foundation and blushes, I picked up WA blush in Petal and Dou Dou because KJ's blushes lack those gorgeous colors, especially for winter. Comparing both, I prefer the Kjaer Weiss formula so I'm hoping they come out with more cool tone colors besides Reverence. Not sure about the Lit highlight stick and I will try putting it under foundation and blush to see all the different ways to use it. Love the Biscuit contour stick because it leans grey and not warm brown, thus more of the shadow you are looking for when it comes to contour. Will experiment with Peau de Peche more, and feel that Peau de Soleil suits a summer skin better, although I will try it as a neutral blush to see how that works. I'm realizing that I just don't like shiny stuff on my face.
