Tying a CDC Cinamon Caddis with Woodcock wing.

This is the way I like to tie the Cinnamon Caddis. This fly represents one of the most abundant sedge patterns flying in Transylvania and beyond. You can find it throughout the Carpathian Mountains and in the Alps. As a result, it is a fly commonly encountered in Austria, Italy, Slovenia, as well as in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland. Personally, I prefer to tie it exclusively with CDC because I enjoy the water-print effect it creates on the fly. Of course, for extremely fast waters, it can also be tied with a hackle, as many anglers prefer using rooster feathers. However, I will discuss the fast water versions at another time.
Materials:
*Barbless hooks: depends how you like:short - maruto D04 or longer like Daiichi 1190
*Thread: -as thin as possible, I prefer 30DEN GSP waxed to prevent slippering ( white can be colored with a permanent marker)

Awesome bug man slick use of the woodcock really adds a nice mottling without overwhelming the fly

thanks Tyler, I'm glad that you like it. this fly is a little bit bushy but I fish it in strong rivers. For low running types I use one tied more sparse. it works great ;)
