I fished off Clacton pier eith my uncle and cousin once when I was a boy. They had proper railings then and there was only about 18" gap between each rod it wss that crowded. It was blowing a gale with sleet & snow driving into your face.
Just found your channel and really enjoyed the video. I live in NZ now but grew up fishing in East Anglia and remember catching many a Whiting off Clacton & Walton piers.
@@JakePickeringShoreangler I'm on the east coast of the South Island. At this time of year we get Smoothounds very similar to yours, and Elephant Fish. After Christmas, attention switches to Moki (a bit like your sea bream) and Gurnard similar to your Tub Gurnard. I do a trip over to the top of the west coast each summer, after Snapper which look similar to your Couches Bream.
