Expertise comes from your network as much or more than from within. And just like any network, where your node sits can be described and oriented differently (relative). At work I'm an expert in tech, including Excel etc. but in the presence of MVPs, I'm a student (and grateful for kind and generous teachers). Paying it forward through my network is my thank you and it propagates the expertise. Win win win
There is always something new to learn , there is nothing like “I know everything “ specially in IT and excel , excel is evolving, so always there is something new to learn or some new tips (specially these are not shown in documentations)

I think you are an expert when you make it PAST the point where you THOUGHT you were an expert and know so much that you are suddenly and painfully aware of how much you really DON'T know and you start to question whether you are expert or not... that's when you may actually BE an expert.
