My bird is 3.5 pounds.. and I stuffed the bird with finely chopped fresh garlic, put a whole onion up into the neck area and put in wedges of lemon along with seasoning inside the bird -- the exterior, I put butter between the skin and the meat .. added fresh garlic to season it and keep the meat moist from under the skin, especially breast meat. Exterior skin was smokey salt, fresh coarse ground pepper and every 15 min I stopped and basted it with olive oil and rosemary... I like your ideas of the Mrs Dash and the Old Bay .. will give that a try next time... thanks for a good video!!
Thanks for the tutorial. Takes the anxiety away in making a decision to purchase. The company only uses positive reviews in their ads. Love a man who knows his way around a kitchen! Nice to see you include your son.
Good info & recipes! Made a whole chicken using rotisserie method you describe and it came out perfect. Coming up this weekend, will follow your recipe for the 3 lb. boneless turkey breast. Keep those recipes/recommendations coming!!
Great video. Thanks. Especially loved the tip about not washing the chicken. It made total sense when you explained it. Now it's time to cook my chicken for dinner tonight.
I was doing just that for years because my aunt was doing it whenever we fry & flour up our chicken we wash it off thanks for telling me Darnell next time I'll just defrost my chicken flour it up & put it in the hot pan to fry the germs out. This is very helpful.
Excellent point about washing chicken and whole chicken!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for doing this video. I love my pro elite oven. Please do more cooking with this appliance PLEASE
thank you, darnell, for such a great instructional video. when i tried i put the bird on the rotisserie bar and then tried to tie it up, things didn't work out quite so well. now i know better. and i'm going to season my next one using your mix.
Enjoy and keep the Notification Bell turned on 🔔. Several new videos coming weekly! Shooting for Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8AM ET/noon UTC. Can't say it will be at this rate forever, but Lord Willing will be for now.
I just watched a video that a lady posted that is from PR. Her oven and mine are the larger ones that can handle at least a 4 or maybe 5lb one. But she did 400 for 45min and from the looks of it when she finished it was cooked very good. I think if you cook another one then you should up the temp to 380/390 or even 400 and your would be a ready a lot sooner don't you think? Great video for sure A+A+A+A+
I prefer slower with the rotisserie. You can see I do plenty of rotisserie work on my D Grill Channel: D Grill: TH-cam.com/c/DGrill Sometimes, it's not about winning a race 👍🏿.
Another good video. The chicken looked delicious. If you're able to say, which oven cooks rotisserie chicken best - the Air Fryer Oven or NuWave Oven? Thanks! Welcome back, Jordan. :)
Well, since the NuWave has no rotisserie 😁... But the NuWave Oven can cook a normal sized chicken. That one from the Power Air Fryer Oven went pretty quick...
Well, rotisserie chicken wins. But I can take a full sized frozen chicken and have dinner tonight from the NuWave 😆. I could have purchased the larger 8 Quart Power Air Fryer Oven, but that doesn't have the easy cleaning options like the 6 Quart Elite version.
Like you videos... but, can you show how to actually put the chicken on the forks?? I've been having issues with that, and maybe the bird is too big, but would like to see some tips on putting the chicken or other foods on the rotisserie forks... Thank you, and keep on cooking!!!
Greetings from the U.K. Great job my friend, i also prefer to let my meat go a little longer..its all personal preference though i guess. Not too sure about your carving skills though bud (although u did have the added pressure of a hungry boy waiting for his sample) ;-) Thanks for the upload.
Absolutely..it looked real tasty too🍗.I was hoping to get one of these for my brother as he lives in a small flat with no oven.I would be grateful for an honest opinion on wether the wave oven is worth the price..would it suit a single person in a small flat?? Regards.Tom
Very detailed instructions. However, I disagree with not washing the meat before seasoning and cooking it. There are feathers, skin and other debris on the skin that should not be consumed. How else will you get those off if you don’t wash them? Also, there are many options available for washing meet in a sanitary way to avoid contamination and you also absolutely have to clean up anytime you prepare any type of meat to prevent the spread of bacteria. Don’t forget that science and research can be used for good or evil. Your own judgment (mind) is more important sometimes than some expert’s opinion. Stay safe and healthy everyone!
Really, if a feather is visible it will be moved out the way during preparation. Even if not when seen post cook can be moved away like bone. Anything not noticed on the skin and the rest will cook and no longer be any issue. But I detail further here. *Food Safety:* th-cam.com/play/PLpV4xb-88CyT6kv7LDOmIqpcWwomWDkl-.html
@@WaveOvenRecipes Honestly I don’t care about those opinions, because our ancestors (black people- people of the earth) washed their meats prior to preparing them. Doesn’t matter what new aged idea they come up with. I will always wash my meat and I will always clean up my kitchen and my kitchen will always be safe and germ-free.Thanks.
You can follow race and tradition if you choose. I will follow Christ and give thanks in eating all meats. I won't make my decisions based on whether a Black person did it or a White person.
@@WaveOvenRecipes It is not about race. It is not about black and white . This is about tradition for me, a cultural practice...it is gross to not wash meat. I don’t care if a black, red, white, purple or blue person says this.
You already revealed the "culture" or "tradition" for you is Black. I will follow Christ. This matter of meat is trivial. But racial partiality is ungodly. Accept Christ in truth.
I am of a culture that prefers things well done 😎. Cooking to lower temps, despite any later rise. When cut down to the bone, there is usually red juice. For me and my folks, that is unacceptable. We don't want any pink, even down to the bone.
Chicken should be cooked to a minimum of 165° F, not 160: www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/food-safety-education/get-answers/food-safety-fact-sheets/safe-food-handling/safe-minimum-internal-temperature-chart/ct_index "All Poultry (breasts, whole bird, legs, thighs, and wings, ground poultry, and stuffing) 165 °F (73.9 °C)"
I tried this yesterday... What a fiasco. Made me whine... Shout obsenities.. And slammed the door on the unit and it came off and fell on the floor... Signed mom behaving badly

I like your videos. I just purchased a Nuwave Pro plus and havent used it yet. I am looking to see what I can cook tonight.
Congratulations and I hope the over 100 NuWave Oven videos here are a great help to you.

Is your air fryer 6qt or 8qt?
The Power Air Fryer Oven Elite is 6 quart only. No 8 quart model for the Elite.
thanks - informative. However, chicken is considered cooked at 160*. I often remove at 155*+ and let stand - the internal temp actually rises some.

By the look of your son's face on the 1st bite, I can tell that chicken wasn't to good lol
