the interview with the fortune cookies happened again the next year (or next award show i'm not sure) and she reminded rm to not eat the paper this time
Rocking back and forth is a type of stimming or self stimulating behavior. It's very common in neurodivergent people. For instance I have autism and often stim through rocking, moving my leg up and down, or other repetitive movements. My sister is neurodivergent as well and rocks quite intensely.
I sway side to side in my chair when I'm happy. So I usually do it in a restaurant or when I'm vibing to music. I do it while standing too. I just dont notice
Rocking is a primal thing that causes the brain to release pleasure inducing/pain reducing endorphins. It's why we do it to soothe babies. It is effective stress and pain relief in mild to extreme situations. And yes, I do it all the time. JK's rocking and fidgeting probably help get him through stupid interviews, for one! It is habitual and might be a combo of self-soothing, relieving body pain, his inherent musicality, and possible clinical attention deficit. I'm not presuming to diagnose him, but there are several things he does that are indicative of ADHD (which is not a bad thing and shouldn't be taboo to talk about! If more people talked about it, more people would be making steps to understand themselves and adjust behavior accordingly to be more comfortable): It's obvious he doesn't like to be stuck in one place - fidgets and never sits still - even when it is calm and quiet around him. And, OMG, the mixtape is a total casualty of attention deficit traits. It's common to get stuck on small details and need things exactly right. It has made him re-record it who knows how many times now. He said once that he "always liked to use his body" as a child, and his interests and job give him an outlet for impulses of excessive physical movement. We often see him zoning out and not focusing on the present moment, too. My semi-related Rambles: He has said his biggest flaw is lack of concentration. Part of that is humility and cultural work ethic, but there are reasonable explanations for this personality trait. I always wonder if he is conflating his momentary concentration losses with his inabilities to make long term commitments. He seems frustrated by how he is good at many things, but seldom focuses enough to gain mastery in any one of them. He is a generalist in a world that appreciates specialists. This might seem counter intuitive since he has mastered singing, dancing, and performing in general. But the flip side of being very good at many things is that you have an array of options in front of you of things you are *good* at - but will never be *great* at. Even if you are an amazing person, like he is, it can make you feel inadequate. People like that are also disappointed in themselves if they find things they are not immediately good at. We got a hint of imposter syndrome in Decalcomania where he looks at his image in the mirror and doesn't see the complete person everyone tells him he is. He sees what is lacking, but wants to strive to match the image. He doesn't realize he already matches - or even exceeds.
Sometimes when someone put in title (try not to laugh) it doesnt mean that all momments are funny,it means that someone, who makes kind of videos, has no sense of humor
I used to rock back and forth when I was concentrating. I did it one time at church camp and they thought I was possessed by a demon and tried to cast it out. I was to polite to tell them it was just a habit.
I do that sometimes in the band on my workplace, when it's taking too long hahahah lol, it's also what i've heard an autism thing, i have autism, & i've heard from some colleque's it's comforting.
I don't think you realized you failed the try not to laugh right away lmao
i definitely rock side to side when im standing or sitting for awhile no idea why tho lol
I rock back and forth when I have a lot of energy, when I'm really happy, or when I'm really anxious/uncomfortable with whatever is happening.
