p.s. I didn't even think of when I taught. (Leaving out the program and university names.) Even though I had stellar reviews from students for years (which was a blessing, given this issue), I apparently made a colleague look bad, who kept coming up with easily refuted reasons to bash me, until they landed on "You're setting your students up for failure." Why? Because my focus was always applied skill in their real life jobs instead of the program's final "portfolio" project. One that students regularly derided in feedback forms. But okay, disinvite me from teaching because I didn't treat the portfolio as be-all, end-all. (Not that US News rankings are everything, but that concentration that I taught has fallen about ten spots in the years since they dismissed me. It went up six spots between my first and last year.)
And the classic "you have a punchable face". Even heard that in adulthood. Always great to hear when you're actively self-harming.

I am not sure what all you are going through but clearly you are hurting. I hope you can find the support you desire and deserve.
