Definitely the best non customizable car game of modern times. Real sense of speed and great physics, never understood why it didn’t succeed. Had project cars on my top 5 until they got bit by the arcade bug with number 3. Idk why racing developers are so afraid of making “realistic” racing games outside of sims. Most games now look good but still feel like arcade games from the mid 2000’s.
I dont understand why cant the other game developers make rain effects like in this game. I love it when the rain drops just droops behind as the car drives in the rain unlike most games, the rain drop just splatter on the windshield then fades away
Only devs that can make it possible would be Rockstar Games but they don’t do Midnight Club anymore as the original key people had long left the studio.
Driveclub is one of the rare games that let lighting be itself. It didn't have HDR and it didn't try to compensate for it by lowering contrast. Lights are bright and will get blown out to white and shadows are dark and will enter zero color values. Light sources have static but high brightness values so when the auto exposure brightens the whole image during the dark, those lights are very effective and they start to bloom. The other game that did this was Skyrim but it didn't exactly have the nicest bloom. It's audio while not perfect due to its filters and the way it sounds interpolated, exaggerates certain sounds like turbo, bass and intake noises. Best of all, it has a surround sound effect.

So much of a "Forza killer" that most people rather played Horizon 2 over this overhyped rainfx, 30FPS, closed-circuit garbage. Maybe if the gameplay was more realistic and precise it would have been a worthy competitor, I think this game is beautiful, but something that bothers me about it is always trying to force the cloudy weather to make it more realistic, and when that doesn't happen the game looks very cartoony... I would love this game to be re-released or have a remake for all platforms nowadays
So much of a "Forza killer" that most people rather played Horizon 2 over this overhyped rainfx, 30FPS, closed-circuit garbage. Maybe if Evolution were smart enough to make it an open world at 60FPS they'd have stood a chance with PGG.
Even Sony didn't believe in their product and Kaz didn't want anything his precious Gran Turismo to have competition on Playstation 😂

the blow-off valve sounds and in general the whole feeling of car sounds from different camera angles is replicated very close to real life. I think any other game has come close to acing all the relevant racing aspects of a racing quite like driveclub. We want another version of this game again. Please Evolution Studio, I hope you answer our prayers.
all i want is a racing game with forza motorsport 8 physics and engine/exhaust sounds from games like driveclub/grid autosport/FM4 etc.
I would love to see something similar, but with Project Cars 2, that has some really impressive sounds and environments aswell.
I'm a very very big Xbox fan ...but I've bought the PlayStation 4 Pro just for this game ❤❤❤
How this game was exist. I hope one day could make racing game like this
It would take you YEARS and if you are ready i would recommend starting now
For me it was the Regera. Thing roared like a Monster Truck
imo, This is the only game that it actually felt the speed of these cars.
Damn I wish I knew about this game earlier. Then again, I was five when the game released, roughly the same time as The Crew (RIP, I plan on playing it for the remainder of march), which got me into racing games as a whole. Oh and how did driveclub run on PS4, I bet it turned into a whole fighter jet.
Screw Sony for completely mismanaging this game, could've been a flagship series but they ran in it into the ground.
Classic sony move, look at madame web 😂
The crazy thing a that game is 10 years old and have graphics better than Modren racing games
Facts 🗣️
This game should still be available damnit! :
