This may not be the StarCraft 3 we expected, but this mod completely overhauls the game. The Custom Scion Races mod adds three new playable races to the game! The Xayid, Keiron and Genetron. These three races have been extensively worked on, and their balance rivals the vanilla game. The modding community has breathed a completely new life into StarCraft 2. Big thanks to Solstice (the mod creator) for putting this together.
Today it's going to be an GvX (Genetron vs Xayid) Cast: Cognite (G) vs Quoror (X). Their last one was a banger, and this one, once again poses a risk to my voice and health.
If you're new to this channel, I cast a wide range of StarCraft 2 content including casual games and modded games including viewer submitted content! If more casual and modded StarCraft are something you guys are interested in, please consider subscribing!
Since the majority of casts are of pro level games, I think it would be really interesting focus on StarCraft 2 ladder games from the more general population of StarCraft 2 players. Of course I will occasional host a pro-level match once in awhile, but for now I'm focused on casting StarCraft 2 from players in the community!

Xayidlings, or going by their older name Xeyedlings, in the past it *did* only shoot the ground, with an upgrade that allowed to hit air and gived +1 range. Also, in official unfinished Xeyed campaign, there was a choice betwin that upgrade and the bonus versus armor damage upgrade (it also had some other bonus, which I forgot).
I had just come up with an idea for Xayid Overhaul visual aethtetic: An swarm of Natural predatory insectoid hive, with an heavy focus on utilizing "gardened" plant overgrowths, that grows on the units with variying levels of body coverage, and is the basis for most of the Xayid buildings, serving as either the main hull or as a building's foundation, prime example being new feeding pool, which is now a pot-shaped overgrown flower with fleshy foundation and protruding rib-talons (like in the current feeding pool) structure support beams. So small plant on units and big plants on/in/as buildings!

What if we modded Warhammer 40k in Starcraft?
That is absolutely a mod I would cover 👀
I'm pretty sure I've seen some Warhammer 40k models (fully custom from the looks), which are Space Marine Dreadnaught, some Necron units and even a Wraithguard as Cybernetic Tal'darim Hero (Plot-wise, don't remember if it had gameplay) in some wacky, alternative future custom (mini) campaign. I failed to remember the name of it, although I remember it being a string of short stories, that seemingly is a part of larger custom campaigns continuity.
Note: those units only had the same names and modified Dawn of War squad mechanics (for infrantry units only), the lore on them is completly unrelated to Warhammer 40k whatsoever!
