    For me, the basic difference is that if you are an enthusiast, get an Android, and if you want comfort zone, where you just want to get used to something and avoid learning curves, get Apple. Android gives you more freedom, customization, ability to sideload, install custom ROMs and so on, but it's also true that such things are exciting for maybe 20% of mobile users who are into gadgets and are tech nerds. For the vast majority, these things barely matter. So people get an iPhone, get the same UI and designs year after year, get good experience with all basic functions, and get hooked. For others, there's the vast world of Android.

    • @rambot670
      @rambot670 2 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      But on the other hand we can use Android perfectly fine without trying custom ROMs , sideloading apps etc. They are not compulsory...so that makes Android an all-rounder

    • @anupriye5109
      @anupriye5109 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Agreed, Android gives more control to the user.
      IOS is more idiot friendly than android.
      In android if you don't know what you are doing you can damage your phone ex: a 15 year old kid trying to download ram.
      IOS simply doesn't allows those things.

    I’m an Web Developer so come across Many devices daily, I have experienced Android and IOS both, I don’t feel like spending 1.3 Lakhs for a phone which have the same features as a Samsung S series which is for around 70-80K.
    Even though I can easily spend 1.3Lakhs both this isn’t worth the money.

    • @shin5996
      @shin5996 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah, you are right bro. I use both. If I want to do gaming, I would get more than two ps5 with 1.3 lakhs or get an RTX laptop.
      I use android as a downloading device, for torrents, movies, Netflix. I don't watch shows online. I download them in the best quality and experience them on tv. I cannot do that on iPhone. I get paid content for free on android. Free PPV sports events or movies/tv shows/books.
      I use the iphone for peace . It's simplistic and locked smooth fps. The camera is good for shooting videos while running.
      But sometimes you get bored when you eat chicken with different spices all week. You might want to eat something simplistic. iPhone is peaceful. But if I have to eliminate one of them, I'm giving off iPhone

    Used both iPhones and Android. I just love the freedom Android provides. There's option for cameras(pixels) or gaming(rog) or media(samsung). And same interfaces bore me to hell. So, I can use any android phone for years and if I get bored then I can flash the whole phone and use custom ROM. And just love Android because of sideloading. It gives me full control of my phone and that's the thing that gives me full satisfaction. While iPhone users think they control their phones, it's the opposite. iphones controls the users, what to do and how to do, you don't get the authority.

    I'm a Product Designer, Developer and a Tech Nerd. Been using both iOS and Android since their infancy. Both have come a long way, especially Android. Currently I own a Mi 11 Ultra and iPhone 13 Pro Max and I can clearly say that iPhone's camera doesn't stands a chance compared to Mi 11 Ultra, both in Stills and Videos. When I say this, you need to understand I've done thorough testing and research. Yes, low light photography is a tad better on iPhones but it still lack details. Regarding the OS, yes, iOS seems polished and stable but it also comes with it's own set of bugs. On the other hand, Android 12 is a tough competition to iOS. But yes, MIUI sucks, period.

    iOS: No suggestions on dailpad
    2. Very limited options to customise the interface. Howmuchever iphones you upgrade the icons look the same and in one row you cannot arrange 5 icons (no freedom)
    3. It takes 4-5 clicks for basic things like bluetooth, wifi settings. To turn off the location also you have to go into settings.
    4. Home screen cannot be blank, 3rd party apps need to be installed to create transparent widgets to keep the home screen empty/or less occupied.
    5. Despite spending a fortune, the phone controls you, you don't control the phone.
    and the list goes on...

    I think iPhone focuses more on doing the basic things right with higher stability than android phones. While android focuses more on bringing new and more features into their phones. For example, a ceiling fan is used to provide cooling during summers. So Apple will focus more on providing the cooling aspect for the fan. Whereas in this case, android will focus on cooling but their main focus will be on other features of the ceiling fan like diamond cut blades, slim design of the fan etc. On a similar note nowadays basic function of a phone is Good network strength for calling, data and SMS, good camera for photo and video, Good screen, Good battery life, Good speakers, data security, software stability, durability and price. These are the basic requirements which every phone must have. Like food, clothing and shelter are basic necessities for human beings, all those mentioned above are those necessities for a phone. Although Features like multiple cameras, dual screen, dual sim, dual speakers etc. makes our experience and life convenient and easy but they are not absolute necessity.
    Except the fact that iphones are very costly and for almost all the people they are overly priced, all iphone nowadays are very good at doing these basic things right with higher level of stability and thats a strength for Apple phones. Androids on other hands have these necessities in them but somewhere or the other they are justaverage in doing the basic things with higher stability. That is the difference according to me. But Android phones have more and additional features just like the ceiling fan example I gave above. Well those features are really good for experience but on a normal day, most people are just fine with the basics done correctly.
    This is my take on this iphone vs android phone.

    I feel like there is a slight difference in the thinking going to creating a world-class product for a consumer and the other side sorts of experimenting with the technology with the help of making it public and testing it on a user. Apple does the r and d and takes time in it and then finally provides a product that feels to the customer to make use of. Doing a lot of things like having specific sorts of connectors and more makes it a monopoly which is bad it's their strategy to make you inclined to their ecosystem. And a point in the stage once you are in a good situation you really don't require things like launchers or more you need productivity and more. I hope Rakesh Ji you reply.

    Practically, android phones offer superior value for the price. However, what Apple capitalises on is the aspirational value associated with it. I do not intend to get into the technicalities since there are pros and cons associated on both ends of the spectrum. What I've noticed is that I'm inherently drawn to iphones for the aura of wealth they offer, which is something we all strive for.

Like samsung launched fold and flip series and there were only 5 to 10 phones made with that concept in mind. But apple was the first one to launch a full screen phone with dual camera setup and now each and every phone comes with a full screen.

    I have been a user of android and ios, so let me tell you the real difference between them.
    1. Apple focuses a lot on accessibility ( a11y ) I have never seen a phone which has offered so much on accessibility. In layman terms accessibility means a feature that is available to all kinds of users ( old, young, people with disabilities, etc ) like subtitles/captioning, touch controls, etc.
    2. With just 4GB ram and A14,15 bionic chip they optimizing like no one out there. I used to have one plus 8Gb ram but
    after using the iphone I see with only 4gb it works faster than oneplus .
    3. Camera's large pixels are just numbers for iphone. They did it so well with just 12mps .
    4. With new ios15 , you can just click a picture and scan the text out of it . Isn't it amazing.
    Now coming to android -
    1. It offers lots of customization and ios don't.
    2. Samsung and oneplus are the only ones out there who doing good with their screens shape and size.
    And that's it. Apple creates unique experience hence they don't come with huge new changes every year because we people are force of habits , if we see a huge change we might struggle a bit with that change and may lose interest, whereas Andriod systems are coming up with hell a lot bending phones , pop up camers , innovations is good but lot of people just don't know how to appreciate them. That's why people go for stable options.

    • @RideByAquib
      @RideByAquib 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apple is great at optimization - but they keep all that information hidden from average users. Another thing Apple is REALLY good at is marketing. True that a 4GB RAM iPhone can go head to head with an 8GB Android phone - but if they advertise that their phone has 4GB RAM or "only" 12MP camera, people will hesitate to buy (Pixel and higher end Android phones also use lesser MP cameras but larger pixel sizes). Also, due to the lower capacity parts used, the cost for production is less - but Apple never translates that to users, instead they charge a huge "Apple Tax". Scanning text through images is something Android has been doing for a long time... I'm sure iOS also could do it via apps but the moment they bake the feature in camera it becomes such a huge deal.
