Costco has 12 volt rechargeable flashlights that work very well. I would add a wool blanket and a good pair of used hiking shoes as well. I had to walk and it was cold and I was in high heels. Not very fun.
@TingTing-u6u great suggestions. I did add a survival blanket amzn.to/4eYfj5R (not shown) , which can double as a shelter & additional quilt to the vehicle. Good walking shoes or hiking boots are also a great tip, walking more than a half mile in heels would be awful.
Winter temperatures in my area can get down in the single digits. How do you prevent all of those liquids from freezing -> expanding -> exploding in temperatures constantly below freezing?
Great question, we too get sub zero temps in our area. To prevent exploding I open bottles & pour a bit out, you can also will place them in seperate insulated tote or lunch bag which will prevent freezing, tjis also makes it easier to just grab the liquids bag and bring inside with you when you arrive to your destination.
I'd need something mouse proof to keep food in like an airtight bin. Once I had pistachios in my center console and before I knew it I had mice making nests in my car, what a nasty mess I had to clean up in the middle of winter🙄 So I've learned not to keep food or wrappers in my car. If you live in the country it can become a problem.
Good insight about pests trying to get to food. I'd think putting inside a plastic tote with a tight lid would keep rodents out. We too live in the country and we place squirrel/chipmunk repellent bags amzn.to/3Boql6u (something like this) inside trunk & under seats of vehicles not parked in the garage. It's worked for us so far.
Good thoughts and I did include those, but, since they were items we already had at home & not from the Dollar Tree, I didn't include in the video. Although you can purchase lighters, matches, cotton balls & Vaseline from Dollar Tree. Thanks for reminding us to include those.

What about a knife or scissors or lighters or cotton balls & vaseline for fire starters??
