the problem with the cheaty door is, when a vilager walks through it he will close the door behind him and the doors would look open. so either the zombies can just walk through, or they will recognise it as a closed door and smash it down.
35:14 this slab is not counting as you have placed the doors 90 degrees rotated. So actually you have to consider the blocks to the right and left side of those doors.
Before I watch what I'm sure to be another great episode of vanilla mindcrack with beef i just wanted to say thanks for making awesome videos and i hope that the trolls dont get to you cause 99.99% of us love you and love watching your videos so thanks a lot :)
I always enjoy watching Beef & the rest of the Mindcrackers when they get together.., all the jokes & comments they make as a group... priceless! I'd have to say though my favorite duo is Beef & Pause.
The way I get my villagers to breed constantly is: Have a huge platform(more than 10x10), put doors on the platform, and let villagers roam around in there. Mine are constantly breeding.
What you could possibly do with the hole in the wall is make it like an apartment complex. I'm not sure it ill work because of the light requirements though.
Beef!! great idea! I've always thought you and Etho should do a colaboration, if you and him build a mob farm somewhere close to your area, maybe underground, or maybe you could pretty it up on the out side while eho works on the functionality of it. But i believe if you create more spawning spaces for hostile mobs in your area they will be more liekly to spawn in that area rather than your village, in other words, you could possibly control where you want the hostile mobs to spawn.
I'm sure etho knows him already, but look up TangoTek. He really gets how villages work and explains it in detail in his videos. He also built a kickass iron golem farm.
That takes a lot of resources, potions and gold. 8 ingots per apple. Then you have to make special shelter so they don't infect others nor get burned up.
Beef, you supposedly solved your "zombies breaking doors" problem, but there might be an issue with the solution. when the villigers go back in to the houses, they close the doors. If the door is already considered to be open (which you made it "open" to stop the zombies) then the villigers will put the door into its closed state, allowing zombies to come in / break down the doors. Hope that made sense.
I think you may have a problem where a villager goes through a cheaty door and then doesn't close it behind him because he thinks it's already closed so zombies could get in.
I would have destroyed the doors in the breeder, sealed up the railroad tracks so nothing can leak out and villagers can't climb out the top, and use water buckets to transport them in range of the village. Once in range they should start running for the village of their own accord. As for the cheaty doors, it can still register as a house if the door is near the edge of an adjacent wall and the door check shows a difference in blocks on either side.
Hey beef I just wanted to tell you that there is 2 monsters you should look out for before going against the wight witch one is the strongest monster in the game you past it and it was the first guy you fighter againts and the second on is a monster call toco it gives you lots of exp and money so look out for them and you will do great
Idea: Make public porta potties in the village, and the potties will have doors, and they will all be close to each other. Hide a villager behind all those porta potties, and boom it's a village breeder in disquise! Although zombies may break down doors but I'm sure you can fix that
Beef, the villagers won't think the doors are villages unless right in front of the door is sunlight. If there isn't open space in front of doors they don't count as houses
My laptop is SO weird! I usually hover around 14-23, but one day it was spiking up to 143 and dropping to as low as 5. No idea why.... and it was in perfectly normal conditions!
For the village to work they to have an open space to the sky above them like the ne in the middle of the ocean otherwise the village in the side of the rocks want work
Beef the cheaty doors dont work because when they leave the house they close the doors leaving them open for zombies to break down or enter like so he can see.
I remember when creepers would look up at you and fall not seeing lava and now when you walk in a dessert a zombie will walk right into a cactus looking straight at it. Jeb did mobs AI very good
"I'm going to sit here for the rest of the night and watch them." Not creep at all Beef ;) So the half-slabs, if they line up with the top of the block mobs can spawn on them, if the are inset, you shouldn't get mob spawns. It looked like there may have been a few that lined up. Love your village by the way. It actually reminds me of Mario Sunshine.
Beef could keep a ton of zombies/skeletons holding items (so they don't despawn) in a confined area to prevent any other hostile mobs from spawning. I hope he sees this...
The way to lure the villagers is to make them zombie villagers com back to the island and cure them even though it might be a little expensive but your find
Beef when you finish the village advertise for people to go through your village and check there's no unwanted access points, and to light your village up! You can pay them and then you'll have a mob free-functioning jungle village!
nebs built it but there using docm77/jl2579 design from 1.2.5 and there still using taht design and every now and then it brakes so some 1 go up there and fixs the piston manunly
Replace the wooden door leading into the cliff with an iron door to protect against zombies.
I love when you and Etho do things together!
Ah Beef I so wish I could help you with your villager relocation problem... The things I could set up for you..
i love it when you guys do co-op videos it seems more fun for you and it entertains me more then if it was just you, not to say your not entertaining.
the problem with the cheaty door is, when a vilager walks through it he will close the door behind him and the doors would look open. so either the zombies can just walk through, or they will recognise it as a closed door and smash it down.
35:14 this slab is not counting as you have placed the doors 90 degrees rotated. So actually you have to consider the blocks to the right and left side of those doors.
You can move them by placing doors at night at each checkpoint, and after that checkpoint break it then so on until you reached the place
I love when Etho and Beef come together :)
Single slabs do count as blocks above doors. The only block that will act as air is a hopper.
Before I watch what I'm sure to be another great episode of vanilla mindcrack with beef i just wanted to say thanks for making awesome videos and i hope that the trolls dont get to you cause 99.99% of us love you and love watching your videos so thanks a lot :)

No, the mindcrack one was build by Nebris, using Panda's style of enderman farm, popularized by Docm.
Good point. I'm not sure if the mod is client-side only. Should be pretty easy to test though.
That was very nice of Etho to come over and give you a hand. Hopefully you will be able to get your swarm of villagers running amok soon!
Great video Beef! It's nice having visitors every once in a while.
The way I get my villagers to breed constantly is: Have a huge platform(more than 10x10),
put doors on the platform, and let villagers roam around in there. Mine are constantly breeding.

beef is a guy of creativity and etho a guy of technical! they both cool but together just AWESOME
I don't think the "cheaty doors" will work because when villagers walk out of them they close them, so they look opened but are technically closed.
Beef!! great idea! KaboPC has a mod that can help visualize what is and is not considered a door that is part of a village.
I'm sure etho knows him already, but look up TangoTek. He really gets how villages work and explains it in detail in his videos. He also built a kickass iron golem farm.
That takes a lot of resources, potions and gold. 8 ingots per apple. Then you have to make special shelter so they don't infect others nor get burned up.
i think the slabbed roof will work as in normal mc villages they have buildings with staired and slabbed roofes
Try using the cheaty door for the entrance to the other doors, so that zombies can't go in unless NPCs can't open it.
I think you may have a problem where a villager goes through a cheaty door and then doesn't close it behind him because he thinks it's already closed so zombies could get in.
Love when you do a episode with other MindCrackers! :-D Great episode Beeftho ;-)))
1 silverfish block does not a stronghold make. He didn't find any of the other related blocks. A silverfish block can be randomly generated.
I started cracking up when beef said the doors sounded like machine guns. Great vid Beef!
The cheaty doors trick does not work. The door when you make it closed registers to the villagers as "open" so they will not enter
I would have destroyed the doors in the breeder, sealed up the railroad tracks so nothing can leak out and villagers can't climb out the top, and use water buckets to transport them in range of the village. If you look back on some of Bdubs videos, there's an episode where him and Genny fix some broken pistons in it.
Idea: Make public porta potties in the village, and the potties will have doors, and they will all be close to each other. Hide a villager behind all those porta potties, and boom it's a village breeder in disquise! Although zombies may break down doors but I'm sure you can fix that
the reason that it was delayed for a day was for UHC
No, 2.0 is out but only for some people i think but the lightning monster waves were a april fools prank
Beef, the villagers won't think the doors are villages unless right in front of the door is sunlight. If there isn't open space in front of doors they don't count as houses
no, when it is closed the zombie thinks its open, and when the villager goes through the door he closes it right after...
The inyging I ever look forward to on TH-cam is your Mindcrack videos.
Was shown tons back when Doc first built it. Now, not so often.
I've also found some in Extreme Hills (but only in those) on Normal and Easy.
He said it himself he doesn't like when people ask when a certain series is to be up. He will record/upload when he has a chance.
Beef, watching this video i noticed a way your villagers can get out they climb out with the chairs of the booth closest to your house and jump down.
My laptop is SO weird! I usually hover around 14-23, but one day it was spiking up to 143 and dropping to as low as 5. No idea why.... and it was in perfectly normal conditions!
i only just found out this episode of how much of a great builder beef actually is :O
Silverfish blocks randomly spawn in any word generated in hard, hardcore worlds.
For the village to work they to have an open space to the sky above them like the ne in the middle of the ocean otherwise the village in the side of the rocks want work
You and Etho should start working on the underwater village and make it livable.
i love it when beef and etho team up.
Beef the cheaty doors dont work because when they leave the house they close the doors leaving them open for zombies to break down or enter like so he can see.
wow i havent noticed that the torch looks different it looks faded away...
I remember when creepers would look up at you and fall not seeing lava and now when you walk in a dessert a zombie will walk right into a cactus looking straight at it. Jeb did mobs AI very good
The reference was from bearstone I think
The cheaty doors will not work. Villagers always close the door behind themselves, and the closed position with the cheaty doors is open.
These are the two guys from the Mindcrack server that we have never seen their faces. I wonder if these guys ever saw each other?
Softcore, or hardcore, they can spawn anywhere in the world if its Extreme Hills.
Maybe put the doors underneath the floor, like houses underground with no villagers
Rusty is from Seinfeld when Kramers friend goes out of town then he leaves his horse named rusty to Kramer for that time , beeferino.
You could add body guards to the villagers, just trap 2 golems one in each side of the door! (to trap them make 2 high passage all aground them)
it was his caving video, he wanted to make caving harder that wearing all diamond
beef if u put the doors the cheaty way the villagers will leave them wide open when they think its closed
that viking house is awesome, you should make a detailed interior
amazing this is actually Michael Marques
I believe Etho built him one already, just on the other side of the lighthouse.
10:09 how did he managed to put large chests besides each other???
When you and etho were at the village thing those chunk errors in the ocean were bugging to Shiz out of meh
whas he in a mountain biome in 1.3.1 because its a change of them spawning in mountain biomes in 13.1 and further
etho, you are a really smart guy.i don't think vintage would've done it with out you.
Beef could keep a ton of zombies/skeletons holding items (so they don't despawn) in a confined area to prevent any other hostile mobs from spawning. I hope he sees this...
You should have placed a block on top of the cactus. That would have prevented them from even touching it.
Ethos And vintagebeef if u want the item frame on the string just do wat etho did exept put te blcks in a line then put the
string
I seriously need to make a list of things to take shots for whenever a Mindcracker does something- like Beef and Etho with Seinfeld references lol
Maybe if you put an item in the item frame before it breaks then it will work
Gabo he's using regular chests and trapped chests. The trapped chests can be placed next to regular chests. :D
Rusty! is from Seinfeld when cramer has the horse carriage thing when the horse drops a load and cramer yells Rusty!
On ethos 39th ftb video, at 24:48 at spawn village your quest ram Is there..
Theres going to be another etho video with orher people i just want to see etho build
Beef and Etho. The most tremendous of teams.
He said he would eventually show his face, when he started going to conventions like Dragoncon and PAX
25:08 - I know what that is... Season 7 - The Rye, and I promise I didn't look that up.
nebs built it but there using docm77/jl2579 design from 1.2.5 and there still using taht design and every now and then it brakes so some 1 go up there and fixs the piston manunly
if you hit f7 it should show you red X's every where mobs can spawn at....
Whats with that weird torch glitch at 1:28 I've never seen that before.
can't you prevent mobs from spawning by placing half slabs?
it was actually built by etho just look at one of his old vids
You must make an underground cart for the villagers
I love the two different type houses
Anyone notice the torches were messes up?
Beef, you might want to try getting a client side village viewer. I know that they are out there. They show you what area is a village.
Dude did u try getting rid of door because they think its home if thers a door?
why dont you make houses in the mountains or hills whatever you call them
Futuristic? Yes!!!!!! I've been waiting for somebody to do that
I like the Homeless guy under the dock idea
There is more than one Quest ram. Thats Mhykol and its his own
ahhh the old gravel texture in his intro :)
I feel that if the other team didnt destroy the beacons, another team would come before you killed the dragon
