Outstanding analysis, but beyond that, it is so refreshing to find a video about these two that isn't fanatics or clickbaiters saying "Vini pockets Araujo", "Araujo destroys Vini" like little kids, but instead describes in detail the clash of two world class players for what they are, freaking beasts.
Love how u bring in lessons covered in previous vids That hazard breakdown is still your best work It had clear cut actionable steps in dribbling and protecting the ball that players can replicate in training even alone
Usually when you see one player using the same dribbling technique over and over again, you’ll start to notice many other top players are doing the same too 🙏🏼
I love this as the only in-depth football clips I see are of tactical analysis, which is great but doesn't play into personal improvement as much as this stuff. People take it for granted that you just dribble past someone or finish past the keeper and you either pick it up in practice or not at all, but it's really down to the finer details that once you see, you can start to incorporate into your own game. The only ex-footballer I've seen talk about this stuff really is Henry on his trademark finishes and how he sets them up.
You’re exactly right how the football word suggests we find 1v1 ability through trial and error. But there has to be a more effective way to do this and this is what I have discovered along this journey of deep diving into the individual performance side of the game
La verdad, creo que sos el mejor coach de fútbol que ví en mi VIDA. Tus vídeos y análisis me enseñan cosas que ningún otro canal lo hacen. Sigue así y saludos desde Argentina
Bro absolutely love your channel, straight to the point, no waffle. clear and concise explanation. I can work with this with my young kids. instantly subscribed!!! Awesome.
Thank you! They will be miles ahead of most kids learning the football IQ side of the game, just be aware not to push it too much at young ages as it can be too overwhelming depending on the age 👊🏼
Bro you’re soooo flipping great❤️…. Your analysis of the small things happening in the game is spot on and I haven’t heard many people talk about it or even mention things like this . This just popped up on my feed and I love this and immediately subbed
Your actually the most underrated soccer influencer there is man I don’t know how u have so little subscribers when all of your content is excellent and great
Thank you, thought it’s important for players to see 1v1 duels in one game. As many young players get frustrated if they don’t beat their player every time or tackle their player every time. Even the top players get tackled and get beaten
Great video, really puts into perspective the level these players are operating at. I would love to see you cover lamine yamal's dribbling as it is so high level already and has a lot of qualities you have previously mentioned
Thank you, this is definitely one thing I always keep in mind. Todays algorithms push forward quantity over quality, but at the end of the day if you follow this principle videos will never be researched and deeply thought about, leaving the viewer gaining very little ! And I think people are starting to crave quality over quantity now
I've seen you talk about this before in other videos at 3:19 when you mention the perfect angle of approach. How do you creat this in a game and how do you know you have it? Loving the videos man
12:59 Araujo should have left Kounde for benzema and maintain his central position in anticipation for a drop off from the keeper after benzema's shot or a lay up for Vini jr
hey! i really enjoyed this vid it has helped me out a lot, could u do a vid on how to deal with long legged defenders? I have a teammate who’s legs are really long and it’s hard to get pass him thank you!
Amazing videos, I’m a footballer playing in Spain and I love studying the details in my game. How do you get the game footage? I’m looking at making similar videos for myself for my own learning. Thanks 🙏🏼
Bro can you do an analysis of like receiving, receiving masterclass Analysis of different ways to receive the ball, turns like the tiago shift, kroos touch, half turn when to do it and how to apply it in game ?
This is something I’m currently working on actually, having clarity of all types of turns and what scenario to use them in would be extremely helpful 🙏🏼
Brother please tell me how are dribblers like vinicius jr are able to read the movement of defenders while dribbling the ball so close to their feet .please tell me where are they looking at the ball or at the defender while dribbling the ball as this confusion is the biggest knowledge gap for me as a player who wants to improve his 1vs1 attacking ability but don't where to look while dribbling the ball and how to read the movement of defenders defenders while dribbling the ball with close control please clear my this doubt through a reply as i hope you would have the answer to it.
It’s impossible to say exactly where they look as no studies have been done and players may do it differently, but from my own experience when I’m in the flow state and reflect back, I notice I was looking at the defender, their body position and momentum, with the ball still in your peripheral vision
Don't think about where you look, you will naturally end up looking at both the feet and the ball at the same time when you enter these scenarios. If you have to choose, look at the defenders feet as long as you can still control the ball
Hey I’m a midfielder and I have trouble receiving the ball in the half spaces when the cb gives me the ball can u cover different scenarios of a midfielder picking up the ball in the midfield and driving with the ball or playing a pass
even if you know the theory takes a lot of practice to recognize it on the pitch yourself, even top players like these make bad decisions. in theory a good smart dribbler cant be stopped in 1v1 but as you say the game has become more organized and its not as simple as being a pacey runner you need to mind the little cues like these. its even more evident if you watch these top dribblers or any former professional forward against kids in training. that van persie and co vid playing against little kids or crystal palace men vs crystal palace ladies come to mind immediately, never had van persie as a great dribbler but simple touches and right movement makes such a huge difference that youngsters overlook in their development. good analysis, good channel, would recommend to others. 17 mins here learn more than watching 20 mins of skill videos
Yeah the small cues to look for are vital to learn, some of the top pros understand them naturally subconsciously. And couldn’t agree more with simple in theory, it takes practice, but it’s important that the practice is efficient and full of purpose
bro this video is great but I don't think is useful until we know how to train these techniques becuse I don't think we can think about all of this in game
Im not entirely sure, but I am pretty sure that almost all these movements and decisions are instinctual. The actions begin as conscious decisions and movements and are possibly taught. Over time after repetition, such actions become natural and almost purely based off instinct, since the decisions are made within fractions of a second. Hope this helps, and once again, I am not 100% sure of this information, just something I have learnt.😁
It's subconscious man. There are too many variables and the speed is just insane. I was just an obsessed street baller and all the most amazing stuff I ever did was super instinctive. To this day I think back to certain things and just wonder "how tf did I do that?". The subsconscious mind is an amazing thing. Calculations of information you receive when you scan plus peripheral vision. It's so fascinating. I'd say you have kind of fuzzy rough objectives but how it all comes together is completeley unpredictable. Of course you need to train so that you can execute what your instincts guide you to do.
Yes instinctual, the top skills you see will be when players are in the flow state. But to be able to do an amazing dribble, it won’t just naturally happen if you don’t understand the fundamentals of dribbling. This is where coaches go wrong. They just think let the players play and it will come, for 99% or players it doesn’t work this way. You don’t know what you don’t know right
Outstanding analysis, but beyond that, it is so refreshing to find a video about these two that isn't fanatics or clickbaiters saying "Vini pockets Araujo", "Araujo destroys Vini" like little kids, but instead describes in detail the clash of two world class players for what they are, freaking beasts.
I’m also sick of those childish click bait videos that’s hook you in but deliver no value!
Ummm actually ☝️🤓 it would be “Araujo pockets Vini” and “Vini destroys Araujo”!
