Oh, I gave it away. It was rather small - around 1-1,5". When you start making a chain - that is the point to customise it. Make the initial chain shorter or longer if you want.
Just a question though; Which yarn material did you use? By double knitting, Did you actually mean the DK "light 3" weight yarn? For that how were you able to use a 3mm hook? Wasn't the hook supposed to be thicker? Coz I was struggling so much to use a 3mm hook for a fine 2 weight acrylic yarn.

It is DK light 3. When crochet amigurumi we use smaller hook than recommended. It gives us smaller holes between stitches to avoid stuffing to be seen
