Club / Cult / Community : ดุสิตธานี คลับสยาม โลกเสมือน

SAC Gallery, in collaboration with Soho House Bangkok, invites you to explore "Dusit Thani", an experimental city during the reign of King Rama VI, alongside artist Prateep Suthathongthai. He is an artist who investigates and creates artworks based on historical evidence from the inspirations of this miniature city. This journey started from the Bangkok Art Biennale 2020 until Art SG 2024 in our panel discussion "Club / Cult / Community: Dusit Thani, Siam Club, A World Reimagined".
We will trace the footsteps of Dusit Thani through old photographs and historical documents, then delve into this city as one of Thailand's earliest "Social Clubs". We'll explore its relationship with the global cultural trends emerging in the 20th century, in a discussion between Prateep Suthathongthai, artist Nakrob Moonmanus, and Dr Peerapat Ouysook is an officer at the Siamese Heritage Trust, The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage. Join us as we joyfully uncover and connect various narratives in this fascinating exploration.
