We had my grandfather's funeral there back in the 90s. When you said those "two flight of stairs"😮 I felt like I was back there.. 24hrs of the sound of qeej and drums. I remember dozing off numerous times when we xyom too. Fortunately I didn't see or hear any ghosts. 😅

that drinking thing probably happened to more than 1 Hmong family. I remember something ike that happened to our family too. They wouldn't tell us why he couldn't' drink. But yea it was kidney failure. It must be super annoying to not let someone drink their last drink when they are awaiting death. I think that's why a lot of Hmong people rather die at home than the hospital, given the choice.

Kidney failure cause heart issue. Doctor was checking up on heart. Probably didn't check up on kidney until test came back.
