It's great that Zen is implementing this support. Once they go all in with DOF and SSF I may give them a second look.

Freezy's upcoming patch resolves the skewed LCD display on tables like NecroDancer.
Also had an issue where the LCDs looked terrible -- I've created a separate style that fills in the video feed.
The alphanumerics are much more appealing to look at with the extension.

Which DMD should I purchase for use with Pinball FX, FX3? I currently just use a two screen setup, one for playfield one for backglass/DMD.
Looking to upgrade to an external DMD but not sure where to start.

Pin2DMD is the most supported and works really well. So I would suggest that. Cheers

I have an AtGames pinball with large 2 screen Backbox (looks like yours with my own DMD screen). Do I even need this? Or is this for someone that has a one screen Backbox and can use external monitor for DMD?
At first I thought this would add color to my DMD screen for games like Indiana Jones, Attack fromMars etc.
    Thanks for the video! 👍🏻

This is for use with a REAL Hardware Dot Matrix Display (DMD) e.g. PIN2DMD. The ATgames virtual pinball has two normal lcd screens so you don't need to do this. Just use the standard window dmd mode in PinballFX to move the DMD to your 2nd LCD screen. Cheers

Not tested it yet but yes Freezy works with LCD screens and color files for FX is my understanding.

That's great, I also managed to do this, the main issue on my side is that my topper and video backglass are frozen/stuck after I did this update, any idea why?

Thanks for the information. I have a pindmd3 and was able to get it working with Pinball FX for the actual DMD tables (i.e. Indiana Jones, Star Wars Manorial, Wild West Rampage, etc). Even the new full color LCD games like NecroDancer work the the real DMD. They are hard to read, but they work. However, for alphanumeric tables the DMD is completely filled with two rows of what looks like filled in zeros and then Pinball FX crashes with a dialog that says fatal error. Has anyone seen this?

The part where you show variable section. I don't have that dmddevice config there like you do. How do I put it there ? I can't get my dmd going for the life of me.

Wondering if anyone can help me. 😢. So the DMD on FX2 and 3 work properly as in they should assigned to a third screen. When I set the numbers on the New FX it is located properly also. I even made sure the ini file in the FX folder is set correctly as well. So the problem is when the game is turned off. When I go to play again the dmd nor back glass come up until I hit the reconfigure button. So no way to use a front end. What is going on here ? Any help super appreciated🎉

This is indeed a strange problem by the sounds of it. I can only suggest that you copy your pinballfx ini setting out and then reboot and go back and check it to see if it has been reset straight after reboot. That would be odd if it has. Then systematically fire up your front end, exit and then check it and finally go into pinballfx itself to see if it resets it on first play. If it is being reset somewhere and you can't figure out what's causing it then you could create a simple batch file to copy the backup pinballfx ini back over the original and run that prior to table launch (assuming you are using a front end that supports that (like PinballX)). Personally though, I'd probably keep troubleshooting to determine when and where it happens. If you want some further thoughts, consider dropping by our Discord server discord.gg/48WtkjY as there may be others that can assist with this as well. Hope you sort it. Cheers

I was going to say something is definitely wrong. Your best bet is to save the .ini file you created that's in your programfiles86/steam/steamapps/common/pinballFX/mod/cabinet
I think that's the folder you put all your backglass folders, that .ini make a copy of, open it and make sure the settings are correct.
Are you using a full dmd screen? Or a real dmd?
In your emulator launch folder you have the correct things disabled correct?
Make sure you have the appropriate lines Rem'd out for your setup so there isn't something that keeps loading and changing your settings.
You could even try using the check file integrity option in the pinballFX properties inside steam.
Personally I would save my entire cabinet folder with the backglasses and .ini and would Uninstall and reinstall pinballFX new again.
